Kids, this is not a Supra, it's a regular dragster with a Supra body. Not a single component of the chassis, drivetrain or engine is from the Supra. I don't know why I'm so excited. It could just as well be a body of, for example, a Volvo S60 and it would go just as fast.

This can be done with so many cars. Just because Supras are cheap enough to use their chassis for dragsters, doesn't mean they're super duper special.

Well top fuel dragsters make that within 3.5 sec i believe but Uh this is no longer a supra but a customized car, heavily modified and swapped, Aluminium parts to reduce weight, LS swapped or some other muscle engine i dont hear turbo so it might be blower or nitro powered

I remember 5 years ago when I had just pulled a SBC that I was going to put into my 1985 Supra and another customer at the junk yard said that I should just 2JZ swap my supra because there was a guy who did a 6 second 1/4 mile pass. I remember researching into this car and found that the guy had done so many modifications to this car and engine that it is only classified as a Supra because it uses the 2JZ architecture. Low and behold that this man had invested 14+ years of his life and 10s of thousands of dollars if not hundreds getting that little engine to do this amazing feat. This Supra is closer to a funny car than anything you will see on the street. The 2JZ has some amazing science to it but if you want something that is fast and cheap then you are better off doing an LS swap. The 2JZ market is wild and I remember seeing one for sale on a used site and they were wanting 5 grand for a fully assembled engine (Not built). Good engines but very expensive and not the easiest to find certain parts.

Amazing acceleration! This would've been better though if not zoomed in. The zooming and the angle distorts the perspective resulting in the illusion that the car moves slower than it actually does. A 45° panning sideview eould make huge difference and really give the sense of movement and speed a fair and more accurate feeling. Just a friendly tip.
