1,184 LEGO® Chain Links...That's a new world record when used continuously in a single LEGO® machine and having three 90-degree turns! You'll even get to see LEGO® mechanical principles demonstrated! I think you'll love watching how these LEGO® chain links move and flow throughout the LEGO® machine. This is also a LEGO® Technic MOC, so I hope you enjoy what I've done on it!
Just wanted to say that I believe you're super special, and that Jesus loves you!

I'm glad you think it looks cool! Although I understand what you're saying, this record is not only related to the number of links, but that the chain runs continuously yet in 3 separate planes, all having to be achieved through 90-degree twists of the chain. It's a challenge of engineering, but also of making a beautiful and satisfying end product, not just of setting a record. I hope this helps make the project more exciting to you!

This has super similar energy to Spintronics (incidentally, the pre-kickcheater prototype of that toy literally used Lego chain links, and the finished version is _almost, but not quite,_ the same scale of gear teeth)...
@BrickMachines1
@BrickMachines1 2 місяці тому
Oh wow, I had no idea! Very cool!
@WackoMcGoose
@WackoMcGoose 2 місяці тому
@@BrickMachines1 Yeah, a while back I tried seeing if Spintronics components could be driven via Technic motors. The gear-tooth spacing looks so similar, and the teeth feel like they mesh, but they're just _ever so slightly off_ so Spintronics chain links (which assemble the exact same way Lego ones do) have a "tooth mismatch" after six or so links with Technic gears, and vice versa. ...I think they might have done that due to avoiding any risk of trademark/copyright/patent infringement? I also tried seeing if a Technic motor could direct-drive (gear-to-gear, no chain) a Spintronics junction... it sorta worked, but eventually they pushed each other apart from the misstepping due to the Spintronics gear teeth sticking out slightly further than Technic. So close!

Don't know if it's the world record, but my basic warehouse (free instructions on rebrickable) has already 905 chain links (1machine). The GBC warehouse has around 600more, making it 1500+ of these chain links in 1 MOC. The other MOC mostly displayed together, Pin sorting machine with conveyor belts (also on Rebrickable) has another 754 chain links. But very nice video. These chain links can be used in so many ways to do fun things.

Hi ProfJos! I do love your builds 💯 The record I'm attempting here is not just total links, but the highest number of continuous links running in 3 separate planes using twisting links. I'm sure there are builds with greater total number of links, like you mentioned, but most of those are likely not continuous. This is just about getting people started thinking about what kinds of crazy looking contraptions they can make out of chain 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting! with the turn chain concept you could have made this 3x smaller by just going up one level and kept it flat.

Do they make the links in glow-in-the-dark plastic, or could you fashion your own on a 3D printer? That would be neat to see a glowing snake making its way through all those gears in the dark!

I don't believe that he buys Lego Technic and check MMM ( replaced modern robot brain from old Mindstorms RCX ), but they have homemade robot brain like they build from MMM website. With Python Programming Language.
