Edit: obviously nothing at all wrong with John Newman - I just think other countries have such wonderful, rich, musical heritages and love to see the wide array of amazing languages our continent has. Ukraine was THE ONE to give me shivers with their performance and I do not say that lightly. Here and there I see people saying they don't want a country to win for this or that reason. But what about THE SONG ? Even if Ukraine couldn't host ESC 2025 (oh my god, crazy to even write that, it's the next year, ffs! :D ) I still would love them to win BECAUSE of this song. Okay there is the second semi final tomorrow. I love many songs there, too. But the shivers and tears and ultimate winner count goes to Ukraine from me, no matter what anyone says about the circumstances. Period.

I started to cry, when I saw those lights. They looked not like fireworks at all, but like bombardment with phosphorus shells. Phosphorus burns clothes, skin, bones, there is no protection against it. This is what Russia is doing to my country and my people now, and will do to the whole world if Ukraine does not stand up.
