@@Zero_Steel indeed. Not everyone has to make it to the NBA to do those 3 things necessarily you just mentioned. It’s about being creative and I like how simple minded, laidback Jokic is with his style of play, making himself and the team better.

I don't get to catch a lot of NBA games where I'm from, but I'm glad I at least got to watch the finals. And man, it was so worth it just to watch Jokic do some magic out there. I've never enjoyed watching one player more than Jokic.

Consistency is one of those things that don't appear on stats sadly, also, his minutes on the field are mind blowing, he is so consistent and so measured that he doesn't waste energy, this is what makes him so unique.

A few seasons ago, Jamal Murray actually was among the league leaders in scoring output variance, able to have 40 point efficient shooting nights sandwiched between 5 and 7 point nights and that was an often occurrence. He’s improved immensely to limit bad shooting nights in his more mature game today. Dirk Nowitzki is along the all time leaders in least amount of variance - he doesn’t have many super high scoring games like some of the other high volume scorers but during those years he average 25-28 ppg, he also had very few under 20 point or even under 15 point games. Durant is kind of in that mold in the present day game.

A bad Jokic game looks like 23/12/4 with 3 blocks and 3 steals. On a bum ankle

I'm a diehard GSW fan, but even Curry has clunkers. He'll go 8/23 from the field with a couple of bad turnovers and Curry D. Jokic doesn't take bad shots and doesn't make dumb passes like every other player is prone to from time to time. He's plays as close to perfect as humanly possible.

@@D1ProdSoloz because nba goes into indywidual play. isolations. shot only 3. to play like joker you must train that. look how gordon always cut to basket when jokic play 1 on 1 post. gordon wait for jokic to be double and cut for pass. thats simple. but to do that you must have basketball IQ, and players from usa almost always just train shoot 3 and jump high.
