Bcz when they imagine those stories and the scenarios by themselves, it helps them develop their brains, increases their creativity. It also helps them to have Higher IQ growing up! And I didn't have that problem, bcz each movies didn't release until I have read each books atleast a few times lol.

Bcz cultivation has been improved a huge deal, which is why there's so much food and even the homeless are not dying bcz of hunger. We can also export and import things better, and quickly if things are running short. People used to die by millions in each natural calamities. Now due to all the technology we can find out what's about to come. Technology helped us mobilize troops anywhere they are needed, to remove people from certain areas quickly. Very few people now die from natural calamities. Bcz things are managed much better. Power is distributed to every home, running water, heating during winter. Technological advancements also stopped war among developed nations. Bcz previously it was about how many troops you have, they used to determine outcome of the wars. Today it's about the technological advancements and weapons technology, it doesn't matter the country is big or small. If they have advanced technology, other countries and the people won't want a war. Also previously informations were not accessible to average people, so their leaders could manipulate people into going in a war with other countries. Now bcz of technology and education average people are smarter. Not to mention, how much better it is now on healthcare as well. And human rights have also improved a huge deal thanks to technological advancements and capitalism bringing everything to the market to the mass people. Which led to betterment of the society and individualism rather than tribalism. Rise of individualism helped hugely with better human rights. Technology has made it much better, if you think it's bad today, you have to look at history. Even the 1950s wasn't as good as today. Even the household chores became so easy, which used to be way more difficult. People are happier today. But you also see alot of people complaining in social medias, that's why u think it's the same for everyone. But back then people complained among their friends and family.

@Anti Jesuit But there IS connection, also meeting a lot of people means nothing, when your connection with them isn't meaningful. Convenience comes with technology, yes! But happiness doesn't disappear bcz of technology. Happiness was always there and convenience, people having more control over their own lives, more human rights, better access to technology, education, healthcare, travelling, entertainment, way better food and different cuisines made the happiness more achievable. It's not the technology's fault that some people are unhappy. If you don't believe me, you can do an experiment, go off the grid, no power, no internet, no medicine, no water supply.
