Very odd. When I look at the Adventure Guide the "Ravaged Seed Pod" trinket shows as being available loot for Feral spec only. Grats on getting the trinket regardless though. Edit: It dropped for me on normal while having Resto loot selected - just like you said.

I believe that is DBM addon from Curseforge and you have to make sure you have the legion pack installed. When you have that, open DBM and ensure it'll load, just poke around. Then just interrupt that first boss at the right time, collect/kill adds, moonfire everything, eyes, adds, and you'll be good to go.

It's the trinket in the vid, the aoe on the ground destroys them + swipe + I moonfire 1 or two before they congregate on velen. Also, that blue aoe spell I use in the vid is a 1min CD like the trinket, so one of those two aoes will be up for every ghost phase. I think the blue spell is B3 on my keybinds? idk, I'm at work atm and can't watch my vid hehe

When you miss the interrupt (twisted reflection) it puts a huge HoT on him! Don’t overthink that phase, just be ready for annihilate, then be ready to interrupt, collect adds, use orbs as needed.

That stuff which is not end game seems to change with every other patch so I truly don’t know. Very probably? But don’t need BFA reputation? Most of the allied race quests I’ve done are about 20mins and pretty neat/unique.

@@BusJustice the quests are fine. But the "uniting kul tiras" or whatever, that takes many hours of questing. It also has absolutely no benefit. I don't mind the quests for the race, I mind doing the entire story line for an old expansion that offers no benefit to me.

@@Theniceguy-nj2vk check the vid for gear I used and the legion trink I mentioned. Likely doable at 60 depending on your level of play but certainly worth leveling to 70 for the talent points. Timewalking dungeons is on now for big xp

When I did it just after they brought the mage tower back I had all legion gear with all the gem slots. It still took me 80 or so tries to get it. I went back and tried again in the last couple months for the hell of it. Went in with full DF gear, no flask, food or drums and almost got kruul before I missed an annihilate. I think they nerfed it again. Pretty sure I was even able to use abilities that were locked before.

5+ annihilates might suggest low dps/slow rotation? moonfire everything you can p1, moonfire a couple ghosts when they spawn, they don't start moving for a couple seconds. melee aoe/thrash/swipe with trinket up or Lunar Beam. On Kruul you may want to prioritize Maul/Mangle instead of thrash/swipe, not sure.

Likely very doable at 60, albeit a little tougher without those end tree talent.

When you are randomly one-shotted, you probably have too many stacks of the DND aura around Variss- it lowers your HP allowing you to get 1shot. I think you should run out at 3, 4 or 5 stacks to keep your HP manageable. All the mobs in here aggro onto Velen first. You have to pick up aggro from everything away from Velen or he will die. Watch my video again, pause it and rewind at certain spots if you have to :)))

Thanks man, that means a lot to me right now :) :) Any blue or higher quality neckpiece in DF can have 3 sockets, it's the standard for character/push progression. You need to add the "Settings" you buy in AH, bronze, silver, gold. If your next has zero sockets, you need to put in a bronze Setting minimum. If your neck has 1 socket, you need to put in a silver Setting minimum. If your neck already has two sockets, to get the third, you must use a gold quality Setting. This system makes DF the BIS necks for Mage Tower as far as I'm aware. As far as I know, silver Settings in AH are cheaper than bronze, so I tend to buy a bunch of them, and a few gold Settings for any time I upgrade my neck. You can use the cheaper silver to cover the bronze requirement. Does that make sense? It's an unnecessarily convoluted system that not many people know about.

And here is the character in the video with the neck and head in the video. But in armory I have all really good/OP Mage Tower gear, good for feral or Bear. worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/character/us/skullcrusher/theronwood Just wowhead/google those items. I think I got most of them by turning off xp at a specific level(45?) and gettings the socketed gear from dungeons in chromie time. The rings are from my JC with Marks of ilvl whatever those are called. I put too much work into this gear, it's not necessary in DF, this was overkill for even SL Mage Tower. edit: I believe some of these enchs are not possible now, like the shoulder ench. Keep practicing, get into position to aoe the ghosts asap, trinket for 1 set of ghosts and lunar beam other set. Alternate those, and do your melee aoe as well, and keep moon fire on as many things as possible.

it's multiple runs. Be Feral loot spec for trinket, you want it big time. the ghosts are what doing dmg to velen if you're interrupting Varris appropriately. Moonfire everything, all the time. As soon as ghosts spawn/RP, moonfire them, they're come right to you, then bear aoe them down before they start casting. Just keep at it man, tighten it up, you got this.

trinket/aoe melee one set of ghosts, then Lunar beam/aoe melee the next set, and alternate, they will always die fast.

Just keep going until it becomes muscle memory, then which shaves off reaction time. Many will tell you 10 attempts isn’t many, just keep going and if you know you failed, use a LeaveParty(); macro to save some time and durability.

It's all good man, you may just need to build up the habit/muscle memory. It's like any raid boss, just do it a bunch of times until you're not thinking about what you're doing, your hands just do it. I would say to start have an audio cue for the life drain interrupt, so whatever you're doing, you'll always hear that sound and just switch to interrupt. Also, like in the video, the eyes only take one(1) moonfire to die, so just moonfire once and go back to what you're doing. Don't give this encounter too much respect! It's not worth stressing about :)

Took me 80 or so tries. There's a good addon that screams at you when he's about to cast lifedrain. I found a macro that just charge interrupts your focus target. So I set him as focus and didn't have to spend a lot of energy focusing on his drain life. Just interrupted when the WA aura told me he was about to drain life.

He’s saying it’s gotten so easy you don’t need a set for it. In shadowlands people were farming for gear with sockets even as gear from bc could be cheesed via group synch to be bis for it.

@@BusJustice I have horribile luck lol, I'll be giving it an attempt on LFR/normal to try an get the trinket. Last week no luck though on it. I might even grind out shadowland enchants to go on gear to help aswell. I want this form so bad but I'm just mentally broken by it.

After 6hrs take a long break like 24hrs+ and come back fresh. If you’re getting him to 5%, stay calm and you can start popping everything; spells you were saving, lunar beam, drums, and use the leftover orbs back to back ;) You got this kupo!

any ideas why you might not be doing enough dps? You have lunar beam? Moonfiring everythere? Have trinket? Have leg ench? high Versatily? 3 gem slots in neck?

simply cant kill the 4 aberration type mobs quick enough every time they spawn, i use the seedpod but then it goes on cooldown, then they get summoned again and just run up and one shot me before i can react with anything. all ive got left is thrash and swipe but they dont die fast enough.@@BusJustice

@@ThomasVpanda 3:22 try Lunar Beam for the aberrations you don’t have seed pod for. Someone in the comments said they used incap roar, too. When the aberrations start spawning you can moonfire 1 to 3 of them to get that powerful dot ticking. Moonfire everything, and often.

your moonfire is doing half the eyes hp, mine doesnt do anywhere near that. i dont do nearly enough damage to anything it seems@@BusJustice

@@ThomasVpanda check your talent spec to ensure you're doing a lot of spell dmg/arcane damage. Let me know if that helps.
