They called it running away. Like floyd said the game is to hit and not get hit. His era of fighting was graceful like muhammad ali. It might look not entertaining but percentage of hits or jabs was at its best. They want him like to be like rocky or be like some boxers back and the day take a hit and then opposition take a hit for entertainment. that fighting style you support can u get brain damage. Mayweather fighting style for this boxing of era is in full affect. Look at these young bulls fight now by using their minds instead of physicality. They are not trying to knock u out with one punch, they are trying to break you down. Give mayweather that credit. He also change the game by being your own promoter because you are the brand and you don't need a don king stealing your money.

One thing that really stands out is how effective he is when cornered against the ropes. Mayweather never seems to lose his composure and even uses such disadvantages to generate offense with his speed and anticipation. Even in the few times he did actually take some hard punches, he never let his guard down and start wildly swinging in a desperate attempt to recover. His psychological mastery from the signing of the contract until the final bell is also underrated.

UFC literally made its Octagon ring smaller to ensure they increase actual fighting & decrease running around dead time. Fans + Analysts love this move. This tells you what Floyd Trashweather does is not boxing, it’s called running around (cardio). If people saw Mohammed Ali fighting AND then saw a Mayweather fight after, people would either fall asleep or walk out of the building. Mayweather is a cancer for boxing. (1) He doesn’t actually box, he runs inside the ring (2) he’s historically picked his fights to fight washed opponents or inferior fighters to ensure he boosts his “undefeated” record. Mayweather ain’t no Ali, Sugar, Tyson, Chavez Sr, Trinidad.

Exactly, all the best fighters somewhat decline physically sooner or later. People say “oh you’re not the best because you didn’t beat _____ or you didn’t do this yet” or whatever, But what most guys don’t teach is that, it is VERY possible to become the best fighter, even if not at ALL skills, maybe talent wise, speed wise, IQ, Defense, Power, Inside game etc. but only the best for so long before you decline. @@elewie916 they say to watch your opponents body in boxing because punches come from the body. the fist is last in the physical chain. Everything starts from the core/legs. So when shoulder starts moving you know to evade cause a punch is most likely coming. that's why they say Don't wind up on punches too cause your shoulder goes back then forward aka more reaction time for your opponent. And after you throw a combo most fighters even world champions have a habit of throwing a random hail marry. Punch and hope they hit you.

Funny how your defense of Floyd is so specific… almost as if he has a history of doing this. 🤔 It’s not like there’s video of him always running and rarely actually fighting. It’s also not as if he waited 5 years to fight Pac-Man AND then forced Manny to fight with a broken hand instead of postponing match for 3 months. And then never gave Manny a rematch. 🤔 Soooo he doesn’t pick his opponents but somehow he only fought manny once? And in that fight manny fought with a broken hand… so why not a rematch unless, you know, HE CHERRY PICKS HIS FIGHTS. lol

@@darylkehmia8778 it’s a point system he works he admits it himself. He’s a great fighter but only when it comes to points. I think Floyd had more potential but chose money and points over actually fighting. Like I said watch most of his fights every fighter leaves looking fine and barely any damage. But Floyd tots my respect I’m just sharing an opinion on some flaws I see. He’s bored me so many times I paid for a fight lol but he’s doing something right if I paying to see each time

The level of inner calm and control anyone would need to have to see the things he does as quick as he does is why you won't see a fighter like Mayweather again for a very very long time. There's a lot I'm not into about him but even watching him explain it, the guy knows defense inside out.

His upper torso turned to the side also throws other boxers off thus when they throw a jab, it doesnt connect because of his angle. He has more leverage and agility to move when his torso is in that position. I wonder if other fighters took that very stance going up against him, would they be successful with it or not? 💁🏽‍♀️
@amviciouso

Floyd fights while running really. This is only highlights. In 1-12 rounds of his fight, he punches while backing up most of the time. In a fighter’s point of view, they have to really work hard to catch him. Floyd destroys them mentally first by crushing their patience because fighters really want a toe to toe exhibition. After that, Floyd just jabs them the rest of the fight. Smart.

He was brilliant in what he did, one of a kind, people didn't like him because he fought defensively, but he fought wisely, in such a way as to come out alive and victorious from the fight.... It is a pity that he does not fight anymore, I remember his fights with Cotto, Hatton, Oscar etc. beautiful memories ... Greetings from Polish 🙂
