For #2, it’s because the “walls” are lower than the fences, meaning the gates are lowered, but the middle one isn’t.

Correct. I’m planning to build an underground city by making a hole using TNT. With holes in the roof of the cavern as skylights. Will test on a much smaller scale with a house.

I just finished watching this during the 1.19 update, and wow! Although a lot of this is outdated, there were still several tips that I didn't know about and ways to inspire. Maybe you can do an update to this video soon or after 1.20 comes out.

A tip for building bunkers in Minecraft is to always have a large space for stairs as ladders are horrendous so stairs or water elevators are the go to option also use beacons and stuff to make electrical plants if it’s a fallout bunker

Adding onto the beacons thing, you can stack multiple colors on one another to either deepen a shade by stacking multiple of that same color on top of each other, or make slightly different shades with white and black glass

building tip 102: you can make a working sleeping bag by making the floor around a bed covered with slabs. this makes it so that only a little bit is sticking out making it look like a sleeping bag.

Cobble is basically cracked stone, use that for a used but worn mineshaft Plus stairs/slabs, buttons, and a short concealed red stone build w falling gravel. And vines. Don’t forget them. Plus moss. Bone meal a block of it in the ground to make more mossy decorations.
