So many of these brought back memories of Kitties past. Kitties climbing the tree and sleeping in the boughs, chasing fish under the pond ice, and our tiny Mama cat stealing the turkey from the platter. Merry Christmas all! Happy New Year too!

Hey for those of you who have cats that won’t stay away from the tree, take a large spray bottle and add some water to it almost all the up . And go to your local craft store and pick up some Lorann food grade essential oil or oils in citrus flavors and scents. Lemon, orange, grapefruit,lime. Cats hate the smell of citrus. Just please make sure that it’s Lorann oil and not regular or fragrance. Both can be toxic. Add about 15 drops per oil. You can use one ore a combination.

The tape one reminded me of the very first cat I ever lived with on my own. He loved to lick anything with adhesive...cellophane tape, envelope glue, stamps...and for some reason, he liked the envelopes and stamps best if they had been used first!

When I was very much younger & lived in an apartment the size of a post box, my decorations were necessarily small scale - my tree was no more than 3 feet tall. And I had one string of wooden beads, painted red, green & gilt - unbreakable, so that problem solved. However...every day when I came home from work, the lower end of those wooden beads would be loosed from the tree and stretched as far as it could go across the floor. I would patiently put it back in place. And the next morning.... That cat had a sense of humor

When I was little we had an orange and white tabby named missy, during Christmas time as soon as we went to bed, she would knock off an ornament and all night you would hear her batting it around the house, now she plenty of toys but ornaments were special. One of her kittens that we kept also a orange-white tabby named Brandy liked to zoom up the tree and peek out. The best or worst Christmas cat story depending on your view was my Turkish Van whom decided it was a good idea to eat tinsel, one morning meowing up a storm, I had to help remove it I guess I should feel fortunate he was able to pass it. My black female cat got a ribbon stuck on her head once, poor cat I couldn't help but laugh, I did help get it off, being the responsible cat servant I'am.
