Back when I was 16 me and 2 buddies dipped from cops and pulled into my buddies driveway, we hid our bikes deep in her woods and waited it out. A cop came to the house and we were all pissing ourselves thinking our bikes were going to be taken away. The cop said, “why u guys so nervous, I’m not here for you riding on the roads, your neighbors house got broke into” he talked with my buddies dad and told us to ride safe before he left. Coolest cop I’ve ever met.

Where we live in Ohio, the cops started mapping the bike trails and so now when a biker takes off the road onto a trail, they have a 1 in 3 chance of radioing ahead and having a cop waiting for you at the end. We live up on a hill that's nearly 300 feet down over the cliff onto state route 7 with the Ohio river up against it and so they already narrowed down your escape routes ;o) but I know it's not like everywhere :o)

Growing up in a country-ass town with a population barely over 10,000, this happened all the time. Most cops in our town wouldn't even waste time trying to chase. They knew they weren't going to catch anyone.

That happened to a guy I knew years ago, he was chased on the road for miles, he then just made it into the trail for his getaway and the bike ran out of gas. The cop got out of his car and said "you're busted!" lol

@@chapter4444 Yup happened all the time when I lived up north, we all had bikes growing up and you had to ride on the roads to get to the trails, so you always got chased. Funniest was a buddy that was just going for a quick ride on another guys little 80, and not an MX with a powerband. Like a 1975 Yamaha 2 stroke 80 with no balls. Pulls onto the road and there's a cop right there, the chase was at like 20mph, he got into a trail and got away. Left the bike in the woods and walked home lol

One time I ran from the cops in a 1990 Mazda miata. I don't have any footage off this, but it was around 1 or 2 in the morning just after a "car meet" (back when sideshows were only done in empty warehouse lots, and cops still used crown vics). Me, a friend, and two strangers ended up running 6 red lights to get enough distance between us and the cops. I think the only reason we got away was because they didn't utilize the helicopter to watch us all from above. Fun Fact: I can tell this story because of the statute of limitations. Even if law enforcement did see my comment, they can't legally come after me because this story happened over 10 years ago.

My brother did the same thing on his dirt bike, ran from the cops by hitting the trails. His mistake was going to the 7 11 to get a slurpee after getting away. Guess who happed to be thirsty also...... Busted!
