A girl and a guy walk into each other on the street and the guy drops his chocolate bar into the girl's peanut butter jar. See… I’m frustrated because I took my wife to Red Rooster based on this video. And it wasn’t even CLOSE to this meal. The chicken was overcooked and under-seasoned, the mac was more greens than mac (legit just a clump of greens in the middle of the pasta) Cornbread was dry. The only thing that was even remotely good was the sweet potatoes, but it’s kinda hard to mess up sweet potatoes. We were so disappointed because we’re both fans of Marcus from Chopped, so we were extra excited when we saw him in this episode. Hopefully, whoever was on the stove that night was replaced, because I would NOT recommend wasting your time going there. Sylvia’s on the other hand is a CLASSIC. I’d definitely recommend it for some quality southern comfort food.

it was cooked by a professional chef, not an underpaid employee who is just following orders, so you can tell the level of attention and skill is much higher. also, with that price range, they probably picked the best ingredients, GMO farm raised Chicken, GMO butter milk from high quality milk cow etc.... and then there are the expensive Caviar ofcourse.

I got a chance to go to Red Rooster a couple years ago. I’m from the south and when I tell you it was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, I’m not exaggerating at all.

yea, the really expensive one, take away caviar (it isn't even that nice), get chicken cut it into strips then egg yolk , bread crumbs, flour, put into deep fat frier, the dipping sauce is easy to make and pancakes are cheep, lets say 5$ a full family meal taste pretty much the same, also if we're spending 500 don't get cheap on us without the chips.

Old Deodoant yea that's Marcus Samuelsson he was on chopped and top chef just to name a few shows. Frankly, that was pretty rude in my book. Chefs are chefs because they like feeding people food. If he wanted chicken, he should have made himself some ffs. It felt almost like he felt he needed more air time. And that is coming from a fellow chef.

After seeing this years ago I recreate Chef David Chang’s recipe at least 4x a year maybe more. With some of my ingredients.Thank you Steven, Andrew, Adam and also the BuzzFeed cast and crew. For this episode and the restaurant’s who contributed. Especially David Chang for his idea

Lol it's not 17, I went this weekend it was 28, with some small as sides. Not worth it. Plus the experience was bad, pushy server, you're hurried up, you share your table with strangers and it's so cramped that you need to get up every time someone needs to get through

I saw this video years ago and it did something to my brain. Seeing them dive into that fried chicken and caviar and LOVE it, and explain why it was worth spending all the money... ever since then, I haven't felt bad about splurging a little when I eat out, PARTICULARLY when I travel. I don't go to concerts, I don't travel much, but getting an incredible food experience has turned out to be absolutely worth it for me!
