The gameplay ideas in this guide are wide ranging. Some, like using cat-related plants, visiting the lighthouse and the pet cemetery are small little side tasks. Others, such as running a vet clinic, being a pet artist or running a pet-themed retail store can form as the main premise of a sim's or a household's gameplay.
There are also ideas that will enrich your game as a whole, such as creating a stray animal wildlife park or a cat café community lot.

I have a sim who rescues strays and sells them to other house holds. Since you can't actually sell them I'll take a picture of the animal and put it up for sale so when the picture is bought I move the animal into their household :)

I love to have a large family of sims through the generations and give them pets. It’s a bittersweet feeling to watch them grow up. Especially when a child sim grows up with a loving pet. In sims 3 I had a sim who loved her small dog more than anything but the dog later passed away as an elder. The most emotional moment was when the dog’s ghost layed down on her past owner’s bed who was now an elder. She passed away with the dog’s ghost laying next to her. I admit I cried.

@@deematmok8156 there's probably plenty out there but they aren't very common... there's also a restuarant near where I live called the dog bar, it's an actual sports bar type restaurant that's meant for bringing your dog with you... I might do that, have a cat cafe for the cat lovers and a dog bar for the dog lovers...

haha I refurbished one of the get together cafes for the video but yes sometime I should make one. I'm not a huge builder though!

One of my more involved gameplays involved creating a dog show event. I made a showroom, made the event on the calendar, and had a few people compete. The host then gave the winner a gift of $1000 and a fancy food bowl.

i really like these gameplay inspiration videos! maybe once you go through the different packs you could do some that are more theme based? the first thing that comes to my mind is food based ones. for example you could run a vineyard with mixology and juice fizzing, run a bunch of restaurants, unlock every recipe, play as a food critic with the city living career and actually eat at the dine out restaurants, run a farm, etc. edit: you could also start a restaurant that only serves poor quality pufferfish nigiri or sell fizzy juice made from the strangerville fruit and go the evil route lol

oh yay I'm so glad you're liking them! I'm definitely enjoying making them! and defs theme based content is something I'll be doing! thank you so much for the food based idea I think that's super cool. I have a few ideas lined up that are theme based but I'll add this in. I'm even thinking like x types of restaurants to make/ restaurant ideas could be awesome. just would take me a long time with a lot of building to make that video haha.

Great ideas as usual 💕 Since I love hearing gameplay ideas I thought I'd add one of my own... I have a sim who runs an animal shelter and adopts strays around Brindleton Bay. She has a vet skill high enough to make wellness treats and I have her work on training the dogs in her care too. When I have a sim from another household want to adopt a pet I take them there. I play rotationally and this works really well. Love your videos - thank you 💕

WOW! I did not know about the feathers. When my Sims get them, I've always assumed they were just trash and threw them away. I love the mounted pictures they make. Thank you for all your videos. There's always something new or something never tried and you inspire me to play more. I usually get my kicks out of build mode. I also appreciate how your game plays aren't totally set around getting rich. Life is to enjoy, so let your Sims have some joy as well.

If you have an adventurous dog you can go on adventures that are text base. I got really obsessed with solving the mystery of the ghost of the lighthouse Very Scooby-Doo and has buffs

I'm going to open a animal shelter and find strays in the wild and nurse them and train them to do basic training and then move it into a family home :)

It is interesting that we always mourn about the lack of gameplay when it is probably us not seeing things.. Sims 4 gameplay is not as deep as Sims3, we know, but it has so many cool `hidden`features we can use to make it fun. Thank you for telling us all about it :)

Here is a gameplay idea: adopt ghost dogs from deadgrass isle and using the ambrosia treat to revive them and then use the age down treat to turn their age back to adult

I bought the Cats & Dogs game pack 2 days ago and I'm loving it! 😄I LOOOOVVEEE dogs 🐶 and I mostly play with 'em. As I watched through the video, I stumbled upon *The Cat Café,* 😺 so then I was thinking.. Since dogs are my favorite animal.. what if I made a Doggy Café! Amazing Idea's as I get suuuper bored while playing and I normally get soooooo bored that one time I made a Zoo with a Snake, a tiger, a Panda and a random dog and cat that I felt like putting in. I also love the breeding idea! ♥ Just to give you another idea, I was thinking about a Pet Shelter! Then you could add the Cat Friendly & Dog Friendly trait and it'd be amazing! I have designed trainers/breeders. For example, I have a sim w a maxed out training skill, move a pet from another house to the trainers house and train with them. Then I move the pet back to the original owner once training is complete. I do the same with breeders. Send the pet to the breeders house, they breed, then send them back to the original owner with a puppy/kitten. Of course this isn't necessary, but it leads to some really interesting storylines & gameplay!
