Not many exclusive baseball players can say that they were 9 for 14 against David Cone. Simply Amazing.

MAN UTD as boring as baseball can be at times, it will never be as boring as watching soccer. Playing a pickup game isn’t bad....but I’d rather watch paint dry than watch it. 90 minutes to watch a 1-0 game?

Without a doubt - batted .533 in the series and if you ask me his performance in this series is not appreciated nearly enough. Especially when you consider that the Braves as a whole couldn't hit the Blue Jays worth a lick in this series.

Either Deion or Glavine would have won the MVP if Atlanta won both games 6 and 7, and thats assuming that Glavine would have pitch nicely again in the what-if game 7, like he did in game 1 and game 4. Probably co-MVP

Underrated performance. Would have been the mvp If they won. Might have changed the narrative about him heading into the Super bowl with the Niners. Will the WS MVP get another ring as a Niner? Actually for all his accomplishments if he won the MVP his career would have been slightly more transcendent and otherworldly. However he was still amazing. He was Prime Time.

Had the Braves been able to beat Toronto in the 1992 World Series then there's little doubt in my mind that Deion Sanders would've won the MVP Award. He hit .533 against the Blue Jays, with five stolen bases, four runs scored in 17 plate appearances. And he’s the only player ever to hit at least .500 with at least five stolen bases in a World Series.

- Happy the Jays wound up winning this Series after, but I remember people questioning why Bobby Cox didn't rely on Deion more often throughout the Series, as he was probably their most productive hitter at the plate when he did play.

Cox and Braves GM John Schuerholz really didn't care much for Deion - he was way too "Hollywood" for the Braves' way of doing things. But Sanders batted .533 in this World Series and would have been the MVP had the Braves won it. He also had 5 stolen bases and an outfield assist in this series.

@ckendall67

@@vdominelli Years later, guys who played on those Braves teams admitted that the Jays were the better team. Yes, they were coming off a dramatic Game 7 NLCS win vs the Pirates, yes they owned baseball's best record overall that year, and initially believed they were destined to finish what they started a year earlier, but after the 1st couple of games in Atlanta they realized they had their hands full. And the Blue Jays themselves were finally ready to exercise their demons after so long. Dave Winfield's leadership really made a difference for the Jays in '92, as did Robbie Alomar's excellence at the plate & on the diamond.
@vdominelli

ckendall67 Atlanta was and would go on to be really good for years but the 92 Jays had it all. unmatched starting pitching, elite bullpen and Ward and the Terminator. There line up was consistent from 1-9 maybe except for Lee. Top it off with bottom of the rotation guy getting red hot and winning the MVP. 93 Jays were All power with good pitching. Those were the days.

I sometimes wish that Deion Sanders stuck with baseball exclusively instead of doing the two-sport thing like Bo Jackson. Prime appeared to market himself as a football player who moonlighted as a baseball player. Hearing the recent news that Prime had to get two of his toes amputated, immediately makes be believe that playing pro football isn't worth it if I'm going to have to suffer lifelong physical consequences like CTE and what not. Bo Jackson is another one who I wish in retrospect, just stuck with baseball in light of his NFL career ending hip injury, which required the need for an artificial replacement.
@matthewbennett9791

He not only had to have his toes amputated, he apparently had to have the leg pretty much filleted in order to save it from amputation.
