I feel like a lot of the 'faults' he talks about are issues from ham fisted previous owners and not so much quality issues from the car, this is certainly the first I've ever seen with the steering wheel badge chipped, and the sun roof was working fine and probably had a sensor issue or something blocking its path causing it to retract.

I just got my first one 12/14/2019 a 2002 3.0 and I must say that I left a cts 3.6 liter for it but in the cadillac at 90 100 mph you can feel it in my jaguar at 90 its so calm and I'm on 20 inch wheels and tires. I have some wheel noise but im the type that likes that makes me feel connected to the road. I loved my cadillac but damn man this freaking jaguar is somthing else.

It is a shame you tried such a worn car. I did like your video though. A friend of mine has got a pristine version from an old man who really never drove it. It is so dark blue that it is almost black. I totally agree with you on the faults in the car. It does have hard plastic. The gauges do look like something out of an old ford siesta. It is compromised in places. Still: REALLY comfortable and overall luxurious. Of course all of the shortcomings are saved and excused because of that glorious engine. It sounds so beautiful and pulls so incredibly hard that people just giggle when you floor it. It is a guilty pleasure luring in obviously tuned cars at stoplights and then ABSOLUTELY demolishing them with sheer acceleration - and yelling along with the insane sound of the supercharger whine :)

The Jaguar and Ford bits are fine. The electronics left over from BMW ownership are the source of most of the cars problems. The same is true for the Range Rover that used the same engine and transmission but carried over the BMW electronics until the 2007 model year. Check online and guess what? The BMW 5 and 7 series cars from that era have the same electronics and the same problems, Duh!

Yes, the mid-2000's were great to Jaguar. I drove one for about a week, and loved it. Fast as fuckC and sometimes it felt like the suspension was becoming unstable it was so fucking fast. Almost bought another one for $5,500, but held off on it. It's a shame they have such a low/steep resale value, seeing they have so much potential, and are beyond luxury lol.

London was bombed before the USA entered the war, and due to US neutrality at the time Standard Oil was allowed to sell the fuel additives to Germany to get the Luftwaffe off the ground. Standard Oil was the only company in the world who had the additive Hitler needed, and when the USA entered the war Standard Oil were then fined and stopped from giving Hitler his additives. So USA made the Blitz in London possible. And think of the lives Britain saved in India, and the fact they unified India.

Indians regard unification as a pro of Brit rule. As for the Brits sticking their noses in around the world: fact is the Brits weren't the original European imperialists; continentals were. The reason the Brits engaged into the Imperial Age is because they had to match the power of the Europeans with their own imperial built forces in order to not become a Spanish/French colony themselves. Brits had to become imperial to survive. India would have been French, and USA Spanish but for the Brits.

@briankeithnull1945 років тому
Was it your intent to show how little you know about Jaguars? This is a fine example of mistreated Jag. I drove my 03 S Type for 15 years and 150,000 miles. NONE of the items that are broken in your car were ever broken on mine . I had the 4.2 V8 base. I just sold the S Type to my cousin, it looks as if it came off the showroom floor. The only issues were that of any car. Tires, brakes, oil changes. That's it. I only sold it to buy the new Supercharged XF Portfolio. I hope this one is as good as the S Type was for me. I feel sorry for whoever buys the abused piece of shit you have. It should make a good salvage vehicle for parts.
@grapejewcerРік тому
That was a very emotional response. You think the car should go to the junkyard because it has a few cosmetic issues and the sunroof electronics need addressed?
@jgh54810 років тому
I think you have a tatty example here, although I would agree that there are certain cheap parts to the otherwise very plush interior that make you scream "Why???" Interestingly, the newer XF has as many, if not more cheap and plasticky parts but Jaguar seem to have hidden them better by making everything in the driver's line of sight really beautiful.

@09Archmage8 років тому
Clear knowledge of Jaguars should tell you as the author of this video, that this example is a clearly neglected one. Here in the UK and in Europe I'm sure, we "Actually" take care of our Jags, and you'll find a much older Jag that'll look better than this! What makes you say this car was neglected? It looks very clean inside and out. And before you start comparing your "superior" european luxury to american, I had this exact car for 10 years and it went to the damn shop every 6 months for some mechanical failure. Water pump failed at only 60k miles. Transmission went out at 120k, but my buddy had one that went out at 3k miles. Only 3k miles and the tranny went out! They're about as reliable as rice paper in water. Speaking of water, keep plenty of coolant on hand because the cooling system breaks in a different spot every few months.
