I agree 100% I never had a problem with previous Corvette interiors. It's a sports car, not a luxury car. That said, the new C7 interior does look great.

Absolutely, my dad is 6'7" as well and has owned a c4-c6 and has fit fine in them all, there's enough leg room for a 7 footer. The only thing is if you wear a size 17 like him or above, the clutch and brake are kinda close
@vvysoc10 років тому
I love the competition because it brings out the best of both, you guys can learn from each other too. I watch both and the drive network which is great too. You can't please everybody but I wish someone like Chris Harris worked for Cat and Driver as a presenter.

This car looks brilliant and at the price what other high end sports car can compete? A lovely interior and the technology is superb couple that with the looks ( i say typical Corvette with what you would expect from a new model) and the performance along with the history...This Corvette should go down as a classic!!

What if you want a track car that can you lounge around town in? Some use it as track car and daily driver
@Flabernat10 років тому
Nowhere in the world of cars is a Corvette considered a GT. It's a sports car. It's built to out-perform cars costing over 2x it's price, not compete with luxury and amenities. True car enthusiasts don't prioritize interior over performance in sports cars, but don't take my word for it. Look up Jay Leno's review of his '02 Corvette Z06, see what he has to say about the interior. Real enthusiasts enjoy cars, not try to find ways to criticize them.

What about the lumbar support? I assume there is at least one adjuster, but something that will keep me in my C5 indefinitely is it's dual-lumbar support adjusters. The C6 and just about every other single adjuster hits too high on my back for where I need the extra support, so unless they made it like my '04 LeMans CE's Sport Seats, I won't be ordering a C7 anytime soon... What about it?

I don't know why everyone is bitching about which channel did a better job of reviewing the car. I think they all did a good job. C&D showed a lot of technical and mechanical aspects of the car while Motortrend did a more sporty review. Yes the car is made with speed in mind but it has to do so much more and appeal to a lot of different people, so one single point of view from a car review is never going to satisfy everyone.

Corvettes really stepped up in the world. They went from plastic outside, plastic inside, to fiberglass and carbon fiber outside, leather, polished alluminum and carbon fiber on the inside.

My C6 is paid off & goes up for trade once the hype goes down. It was either the C7 or the Z51 Camaro, I love the feel of my Corvette however & will get the next version they start at $62K. Also in my garage 1970 Chevelle SS 396 stock serials matching & 1986 Caprice Classic 5 liter with a 700R-4 trans with a stage 3 shift kit, original paint. As far as my body I have done Hapkido, Shotacan karate & judo besides weight since I was 14, I'm 36 now I would recommend Hapkido to stay in shape.

@KeithTedford10 років тому
The interior of our bottom of the line 1969 300 Deluxe SS396 Chevelle still looked like new after 43 years. Our well looked after '97 Olds LSS has severe crease lines in the leather and that's where the cracking starts. Our 30k mile C6 already has the starting of crease lines. A good Naugahyde or Morrokide vinyl looks every bit as good as leather and will far outlast leather. Few people can tell the difference. You can keep your leather thank you.

They went to the same supplier as Porsche -- Lear. Well I have news for you, the C6 seats were also from Lear. Lear simply builds the seats that GM designs.
@OEMPlus10 років тому
this just in: quarter mile ET is like one tenth of what makes a car good. Many of us love fast things but a lot of us live in the real world where we know that you have to draw the line at "fast enough" somewhere and to be frank low 12's is in no way a bad thing.

@user-ez5kb4ix7i10 років тому
I agree, I hear and read about people complaining all the time about many modern day sport cars actually becoming boring to drive in comparison to how sports cars use to drive.
@BloodstainedSinner10 років тому
I'd have to disagree on that one. When the Viper was first released in the 1990's, there was not one factory Vette faster than the factory Vipers, up until 2009, when the ZR1 got a huge face lift, and reunion. Even then, the Viper and Vette are neck and neck. They weigh within 30lbs of each other, have pretty much the same drag cooefficient, identical 0-60 times, and are both within 2hp, and 6lb-ft of torque. At top end though, the Viper starts pulling away.
@sean9324010 років тому
You're right. The Vette has more creature comforts. And a more comfortable ride.

What a stunning car the C7 is and what a performer. Just too bad that all the status oriented euro fan boys have to enter again and again with their BS comments about how they would rather drop 50 or a 100 or 200 K more for an exotic or euro perceived better sports car in their eyes while having to suck up the Vette's better numbers and now on par interior and in some cases a much better exterior vs some of the euro sport offers...Grow up and admit that this push rod Chevy V8 surrounded with smart engineering is more durable, better performing and out right brilliant vs the over priced status mobiles you prefer.
@zimm88810 років тому
Has anyone anywhere seen or know where you can find a review of the 1LT interior. Not everyone wants to spend 10k on interior trim alone.

you are kind of right about the interior but It kind a nice that they really improve it , I mean you got a corvette with a nice interior , Why wouldn't you like that! And most people don't put their corvette in a race track..

whats the big fuzz about the rev match ...... Honda has been providing rev match feature in manual cars for years ..... I own a honda brio which has this feature. The rev match is active when I lift of completely during the shift , but If there is a change in throttle position the control is given back to the driver ! This feature is available in all its manual shift cars since the mid of 2008

The paddle shifter thing seems unnecessary if the only thing it does is turn on/off synchrorev. They could have just had one button for it. I hope it has other uses as well...

Overall looks really great but those paddles could have been tossed in favor of a switch or tied into the vehicle modes. Not sure what they were thinking with that. It might confuse people.

Okay so question. Would i fit in this car? I have very wide shoulders, 6ft 4 240llbs. My legs are like tree trunks do to being an athlete. I currently have a 2012 dodge avenger, and just fit in that.
@3rdGenGuy9 років тому
How long is your body? I'm 6ft 4in 235lbs and most of my height in my core. My head was a good 7in above the windshield. So it depends on how long your legs are vs ur body. But odds are No,
@tmwall2510 років тому
chevy needs a nice 7speed dual clutch in this beast.
@jp2kgt10 років тому
Yeah they redesigned it. On jay Leno's video they had the guy that designed it and knew it was a problem and they addressed it. Only way to really know is to test drive a new one.
@billyjohnson77710 років тому
the zr1 and vipers do not feel like they are going to break when driven hard. And they are performance bargains. The last z06 and zr1 i was in did not have much plastic at all, it had the full leather and alcantara trim, even the dash was covered in leather so i dont think you have been in these cars before.
@KRH77610 років тому
Anyways. Kudos to Chev for getting their head out of their rear end and stepping up.

ECO mode in corvette?
@WTGRacing10 років тому
4 cylinders will shut off when cruising and you need basically no throttle in 7th to cruise 60. i think its cool you can get 30+mpg then do 0-60 in under 4 seconds in comfort.
@critakol18679 років тому
It shuts 4 cylinder off, so your running on 4 cylinders.
@Jonaszthc9 років тому
Eco in prius OK, but not in V8 corvette, this is like joke ;)
@WTGRacing9 років тому
Jonaszthc the prius shouldnt be the only car with good efficiency. i dont want to have to drive a POS prius just to get decent mileage. this means we can have nice things
@dsofe48799 років тому
Jonaszthc it doesn't hurt anyone, you can just choose not to use it. I personally think its great. The C7 is so good, you can actually use it as an everyday driver, so why not have the option to save fuel when cruising?

@Drivermod_Josh10 років тому
You're looking more at ~10-15k for a base viper vs a fully loaded C6Z. the V10 has been a good engine, but you rarely see them beat vettes. the power/weight ratio of the Vette is a killer. the 2013 viper has the only decent looking interior of them all.
@dadoyaq10 років тому
Nice
@acmilan125910 років тому
I so fucking love it + it isnt that expensive for a sports car
@NikoBell1210 років тому
It's like that with almost every popular manufacturer. Be glad this Corvette actually comes with real leather. The previous one didn't.
@NikoBell1210 років тому
I don't remember Ferrari charging extra for full leather as their all of their current interiors come with full leather standard. It's the type of leather and color they charge extra for. Probably the same with Porsche too. I don't remember a current Porsche model coming with partial leather.
@DubRighteous10 років тому
Love that compartment behind the screen. Great place to store your weed.
@NikoBell1210 років тому
This is what I meant. Here is an example. A base 6 series has leather on the seats, on most parts of the doors, and on the top portion of the dashboard. The parts that are not leather, like the bottom of the doors or the bottom of the dash, are pleather-ish materials. Get Individual and it's all done up in leather. With Ferrari, if you do not opted for a leather center console or headliner, they wont use a pleather-ish material instead unlike BMW or Chevy or etc. Get what I mean now?
@EatmyDust131110 років тому
In cars with the disabled driver tran- i mean, automatic transmission, those are the "shift" paddles.
@Rahhhhhnman10 років тому

@Mega666Wolf10 років тому

@traingp79 років тому
Why would you want rev matching off?
@KhanhTagious9 років тому
Because with it on you won't learn how to properly heel-toe the clutch. There's a lot of people who want to get a manual because they want that whole driving experience. Those people will probably only use rev matching (if ever) when they are in heavy traffic.
@shobin0510 років тому
Because 90% of the time you ARE "lounging around town" like it or not, because thats the purpose of a car, by any means this is not even a track car, its a GT car, if im spending my hard earned money on something that costs this much i downright hope that the interior would be worth it, because thats where owners are going to be looking at most, not the exterior. This is the first corvette i actually wouldn't mind buying just because of the vastly improved interior, IF i have the money that is.
