Bahamondes kick was one of the most technically beautiful KO's of all time for sure. There is just something so brutal and visceral about the Usman KO tho. It is just fucking savage. Definitly a good year for UFC highlights, one small upside to an otherwise dogshit year lol!

Usman's knockout had the most impact on the fight game this year, it really changed how we look at him as a fighter. Bahamonde's knockout was the smoothest and most traditional one you would see in martial arts movies. But Jiri's knockout still stood out. It was just primal. It's the kind of knockout that makes you want to go to the gym right away. It was vicious and is a fighter's dream to have on their record.

Jiris was uncomparable to usmans(it should without doubt win prize), it didn't have the biggest impact on he fight game either how'd you work that out. Oliveiras was better as it also changed how we look at him more than what usmans did -was better technique and without it who knows who would be champ, masvidal was washed up when he fought usman second time anyway.

That JiΕΓ fight was insane, absolute non stop war between him and Reyes and actually you could hear all the punches, kicks, even the breathing of both, as it was in Apex without crowd, which made it so natural, what a mad pace they put in. I woke up at 4 in the morning to watch it, still drunk from previous evening, but it was my duty to get up so early and watch my countryman fight. Imo you have to factor in a fighter gets ko'd that has spent an entire career never getting ko'd that matters most. You can see endless no reels of fighters who had tiny runs then their career fizzled out so usman is ko of the year by far. He swiped the block away and put to sleep a guy who has been in the sport forever. The trash talk leading up to that also makes it greatest of the year.

Honestly Namajunas has my vote, the planning and execution was perfect. Jiri ko over Reyes is my favorite knockout ever because it is my favorite fight ever. Non stop action. Two light heavyweights fighting at the pace of lightweights. Reminded me of Pettis vs Ferguson but with much bigger guys. Reyes took a lifetime of damage from Jiri before Jiri finished him with an elbow that almost took his life. Lost my voice watching that fight.

Masvidal laughing at Usman's power before the fight definitely made the knockout sweeter, it was a championship fight and doing that to a guy that had never been slept was completely unexpected. I say that's the best one of the year.
