I'm an ARMY and an Atiny. As an atiny, my blood boiled when I heard Ateez wasn't nominated for more awards than just the worldwide fans top 10. They deserve more awards. I just wish Mnet wouldn't snub them like I feel they snubbed them for kingdom (which I highly recommend watching if you like Ateez's stage presence, it's off the chart on that show). I agree so much. I grew up with Bigbang and 2ne1, so I obviously had a hard time accepting that they are no longer around. Especially when it comes to awardshows, they were the standard. ATEEZ is probably the only 4th gen group I’m stanning and you just pointed out the reason why. Their stage presence is big. There is a big difference in just blantly following a choreo or owing the stage with stage presence and performing. They are definitely the second one! Really glad I found them, they kind of brought me back to K-Pop. (Yes, I’m a 2nd gen boomer, ik😪)

And also where kpop is really famous. It's not like kq is not promoting very well, they are really great at promoting and treating atz well. But, bighit is more well known compare to kq. I just hoped in time, atz will really get the recognition that they deserve. Slowly, but surely.

@@foxowl5977 they were on kingdom (mnet's survival show from back in march) and for the last round they had to perform a new song (they perfomed the real). Now ateez usually spoil their next title track at the end of their mvs so if you look at the fireworks mv (they had a cb during the show) you'll hear the instrumental of the real at the end, meaning it was supposed to be their next comeback. When they performed the song on kingdom, the contract was that mnet gets a part of the income they make with the song for a period of time i think. So ateez had two comebacks between and now released the real as their comeback but they re-recorded it so it's a different version and mnet now can't make money off the song bc it's not the same song anymore. I hope i made sense lol

These kids got it lucky because their senior already paved their way for them. It's not like they really started from 0 like their seniors in the past. . Why? Because they already HAVE the support from their senior's fans the moment these groups debut was announced. That means their journey started 2-3 steps ahead compared to other groups who has little to no back-up from their senior's fandom. ONEUS, ATEEZ, LOONA & BLACK SWAN are those examples. . To tell the truth, if it's not because their company senior already paved the way for them, I doubt these groups will ever had the luck to get Daesang awards or "Best New Artist" award so quickly & easily after their debut. . You said "its number talking & ppl's voting that proves it"? Yeah, who give them the number & which ppl are the ones who gave them the votes??? 1 person with multiple acc who tried very hard to give them their wins? Hah, it's their senior's devoted fandom + their hardworking fans who give them those votes. While other artists affiliated with mid-low ranked companies only has hardworking fans do the voting for them. . Do you still think these award shows are all fair & just, without any relation to popularity?
