Minor correction on the weight of the Halo Plus, you said 686g, but the scale showed 1686g (ukposts.info/have/v-deo/r3aUgKCpfp57u3U.html ), that's a significant difference.

ukposts.info/have/v-deo/n2SeoZ-Jba2h04E.html As you can see the Mogo Pro isn't really showing 1080p due to the small 540p DMD which is pixelshifted. The Elfin from Xgimi is also pixelshifted but since it is a larger DMD and higher than 540p originally it shows almost the same as 1080p res. I'm only mentioning this as you say in the video you prefer the 1080p from the Mogo Pro than the 720p on the competing projector but in reality the 720p may be better (the 720p H8 from wowoto I tried with the Mogo Pro once seemed sharper to me than the Mogo Pro and also had a far more vibrant image).@@TheHookUp

This must be one of the best reviews i've ever seen, very cool! It's great to see the actual differences in picture quality in the 'shoot out' comparison. Hoping to see the LG PF610 and PF510Q soon in a review. The latter is said to be amazing with HDR, despite only 450 lumens

This was an outstanding review. Thank you! I purchased the Capsule 3 and had several issues after receiving a system update. More lagginess and a number of problems with switching between inputs, as in it would randomly change on its own. Strange. Have now purchased the Halo+ Great work!

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

Projection distance would have been an interesting metric to note. I'm contemplating buying a projector that we could also use outside for movie nights during the summer and we'll need a longer range. But even though mobile would feels like it should fit this scenario I suspect a lot of them aren't powerful enough for much more than a few meters. But, the quality of work in the rest of the comparisons was really helpful and I thank you for the clear and comprehensive comparisons for so many core metrics. You've informed my next steps for my own rental comparisons. Thanks for your work!

I use XGIMI Halo+ at home and I'm very happy with it. We don't have tv and it's on all day long. Good thing is you don't have to place it to the middle of th room! It's staying in a corner and it can adjust the view.

This projectors reviews are gold. Congratulations. Waiting for the next one. By the way, after seeing this, I wonder if the specs (basically ansi lumens, on:off contrast and noise) of higher level proyectors of more established companies like sony, panasonic, JVC... are true as they claim.

I really wish the throw distance/range were included in this review. How short of a throw and still focused and how far and still within ANSI tolerance. But this is an awesome resource for deciding which projector to purchase for casting monochrome microscopy images for taking very accurate measurements :)

Thank you for the super detailed videos. I'm looking for a small projector for a closet I've converted into a kids play fort, but I'm having the hardest time finding the true minimum throw range before these projectors can't display a focused image. The things that really matter to me in this tiny space are heat / noise, and minimum throw. The projector will be about 30 inches from the screen. In your testing have you found that these projectors can produce a clear (even if small) image at this distance?

Greetings from Portugal...I have been a big fan of the LG PF50KS so much that I gave it to my step-son at half life and bought another one for myself...I use the unit behind my headboard on a bookself that projects onto an 100 inch fixed screen on the wall...Absolutely fantastic home cinema...Combined with the LG dolby Atmos soundbar...Tough package to beat under a €1,000 euros...At night I use Audio Techinca headphones via bluetooth which works really well via LG...everything is plugged into an mini pc with ryzen 5 and vega graphics which makes the images pop! Waiting for prices to come down on LG 4k led projector...Overall satisfied with LG quality...😉🇵🇹📽👏👌🎧

thanks for your review I’ve been holding onto it for a few months finally made my purchase. I went with the Samsung freestyle. I love it. 😂 are usually don’t do this, but I got it from eBay basically new in box. with the socket plug mounts thingie and the carrying case all for $325 at that price for me it’s so worth it.

Will go with the Samsung as we just want to use it in a dark bedroom at night, but easily set up and remove. Thanks for the review. Only pointer: in the summary charts, its hard to tell the difference for some bars like picture quality and ansi lumen as the color is nearly identical.

Dang I’d been hoping you’d cover a bunch of Anker Nebula portable models, to get a sense on the comparison between the Astro mini, capsule, Solar, Apollo, and capsule laser. Capsule laser seems like a great option but I wonder how much you get from them for less.

Hi. @thehookup Great content. New subscriber. Can I ask how you would compare the viewing quality of the Hallo+ against something like the Nexigo pj40.for viewing at night at 100 inches.? I know Halo+ has more ANSI lumens but contrast in general in all the portable models seems low. Opinions please. Looking for my first projector. Will use it in the house but small form has me thinking I can use it in multiple rooms. Battery not a must.

You should get your hands on a Miroir M289 1080p it's older but still super portable, battery powered and has an hdmi plus a USB type C for both video input and to use for external power. Very curious as to how it'll compete with these
