We were lucky enough to get some Quick Spin early drive time in Southern Spain, both through some epic countryside scenery and on Circuito Monteblanco near the town of La Palma del Condado. #Porsche #PorscheTaycan #Taycan

They kept the “turbo” name 😂. I dare an ICE maker to label one of their ICE model lines with “EV” 😂.

You can buy 2 yr old Taycan 50% off now ! Or just about any EV so don’t buy new

The old one was obsolete when new when comparing it to the Tesla Model S. This one is much more competitive.

@@annamarie5372I agree. Unlike gasoline powered cars, EV technology is rapidly evolving. Enthusiasts, including me, keep manual stick shift sports cars around because they are fun to drive. With EVs, buyers want the latest tech. When the +1000 HP Taycan with +500 miles of range and full self driving comes out, the 2025s can be bought for a fraction of their MSRP.

It feels like we’re living in an EV arms race with cars now inching close to and passing 1000 HP… I hope the next frontier is 1000 mile range on a full charge.

You are asking for things without the willingness to pay. Musk explained that it is easy to add range but that adds weight and cost. Why add weight and cost for the huge range that you aren't going to use? You wouldn't use that range regularly but would have paid for that huge range and lug those batteries around 365 days of the year.

Porsche engineers raise the bar with the new Taycan. With the base model becoming more competitive, and the top Taycan model beating the acceleration of the flagship 911 Turbo S and halo model 918 Spyder. It is not how I'd spend my $100K-$250K, but the new Taycan is an even better choice for Porsche loyalists now.

Cool. I’ll pick up a used one for about 15K in 5 years once this is obsolete.
