Been a fan since 1966. Bowl game wins are hard to come by!!

My god this game was one of the best nd games I’ve seen since Clemson OT. Tyler Buckner showed some grit and came in clutch when faced with adversity, and there was a lot. A lot of mistakes were made by these young guys but I saw more heart from ND then I have my whole life. The future is so bright for this team. And also best offensive play calling I’ve seen from rees by far this entire season. Light years better. The only play I disagreed with was passing the ball at the 5 on first and goal. Your up by 7 and can easily finish the drive with points should of run it 3 times and if that didn’t work run clock and finish with a field goal and go up by 10 near the end of the game. Buckner made a costly mistake but he was set up for that mistake potentially to be made. Happy New Years everyone GO IRISH ☘️

This was the ND I wanted this whole year. I’m more than happy with this game. God, the three turnovers ND had, had me livid but they still found a way to stay focused and got the W. Man, it was a damn good game! Let’s go IRISH!

This was my first college game I ever attended. The Gamecocks out numbered us as fans, but we were determined to be heard. It was a great game, one I didn't think we were going to win, based on the first half.

Those announcers were insufferable. Cheered like mad whenever South Carolina did anything and were bored out of their skull when ND did. So homer it was annoying. Great game by both teams though, best game of the bowl season by far.

ND is back! That's one of the greatest season turn-arounds I've ever seen. Leave it to a great dude (Miami Valley) from the Valley to lead them.

When Ohio state had to play Notre Dame that was that was a tough game it was the first game I believe of the season and it was tough. Maybe people don't care for Notre Dame they hate on him a lot but Notre Dame maybe they're not having expectations High because they're Notre Dame but it seems like Notre Dame does get a lot of criticism and Notre Dame doesn't do that well but Notre Dame did play Ohio State well and Notre Dame is still Notre Dame they got a rich tradition one of the quarterbacks I believe Montana won a championship in 1978 so Notre Dame is on the map they just haven't been relevant in a long time

And, as a bonus, ND will graduate all their seniors.

Shouldn't have been that close, & wouldn't have been if TB remembered what color jerseys we were wearing. Been an ardent fan of my Beloved Irish since before I walked onto the campus my freshman year in August 1976. I do not recall us EVER having worn red jerseys during a game. TWO Pick-Sixes??!!! INEXCUSABLE!! Wouldn't count on next year's starting job being a given if I were him.

Hell of a game. ND would not have won if Pyne starts. They would not have scored 45 pts. They would not have 3 int's either.

Good game from both teams but with all due respect to ND for the W but some of yall fans are clueless .. talking about their opt outs etc lmao ** yes y’all were missing a few including your best TE in program history ** HOWEVER sc was down 20 PLAYERS , 20!!! At least 5+ of them will be in the nfl next year if more , which included the *2nd , 4th, & 5th best receivers on the team and sc was missing 2 starting key dbs* (both going to the nfl) *one of them dbs was cam smith who is a top 3 corner in the nation* (look him up).. ++ also RB marshawn lloyd (top 5 in SEC when healthy) . Plus *sc only had 1 TE to play considering the other 4 TE on the roster opted out* . We ended up having to play 3 defensive players on offensive on several plays including *key DE Jordan Burch having to play TE* (he dropped a would’ve been td in the end zone) *if starting TE Jaheim bell was playing that would’ve been a catch & score* or if our one TE in the game Nate adkins wasn’t gassed from playing all game .. but I guess I can what if all day and it wouldn’t matter , excuses are still excuses and an L is still an L .. enjoy the W

Why do announcers feel the need to annoyingly cram as much biographical trivia into the action while we just want to see if the field goal is good or not. The constant prattle about backstory is distracting. Just stick to the action. Really, wtf cares.

Besides not being very good, Freeman and Reese continue to make it too difficult to win. That should have been a 28 point blow out, but it’s a lot cuter to throw the ball when you’re absolutely mashing South Carolina right up the fucking middle. I was actually laughing when Buchner threw the 100 yd pick six. Moronic.
