Man Goldust always made me laugh because he always took that gimmick to the extreme! It was a horrible gimmick and he rocked it. And yes that last clip has me laughing so hard

I always got the feeling that Dustin really thrived in it. It let him be his own character not living off his surname and also made Cody's time easier in the process, and he'a clearly a fucking weirdo in all the best ways

In Dustin's timeline of life reality, he was the character of Golddust during the time he was in the worst of his life behind the scenes. Addictions, booze, his divorce from Terri, the death of dad Dusty. Maybe the character allowed him to hide it all.

But "Razor Ramon" is this cool guy, oozing machismo, a "bad guy" you had to love. Being able to live as a character might help hide the pain.
