Well, something has to be done some how. If you, a friend or a loved one lost a house, life or property because some jackwagon was flying their drone over a fire where aerial fire fighting was taking place and they had to cancel all drops in that area because of the drone, you would have a different perspective on all this. They were told not to fly, but did it anyway. Been dealing with those types of people here in California since 2014 and every year after that. I don't agree that all should pay for a few jackwagons, but come up with a better idea to catch and get these people to stop!!

@@skipmiller8309 if there is a hawk flying in the space that aerial fire fighting is happening, do they cancel those flights as well? This was never about public safety. It’s about commercialization of the airspace under 400 feet, which no one but rc pilots cared about until last mile delivery services like AMZ started experimenting with drone deliveries. Yes there are irresponsible and reckless drone pilots but there are many laws against murder, none of which prevent murder.

@skipmiller8309 name one time where a civilian was involved in an air strike? The only reports are of agency on agency issues in the last 5 years. Even with remote ID they still cant figure out who's flying what...

@@alexworsfold4320 That's not what I am saying. Not even close. People fly drones during a wildland fire when they are not suppose to be and told so all over Facebook and during fire updates. Air space is restricted at that time for fire fighting aircraft only. If a drone is spotted in an area where there is a fire the air tanker are not allowed in the area because of safety hazard. That means they are not dropping any water or fire retardant on the fire in the area. Fire consumes more houses, lifes and property because the air tanker are called off. Yes, there are a lot of things to question like birds and other things. Fact is no aerial support if a drone is airborne over a fire! People keep doing this over and over again and people always lose. It's not my rule it's CalFire & FAA rules. The only way to hear that this is happening is if you are listening in to a scanner or on your computer through spotify.

If we went with that philosophy we might as well abolish every law we have in this world because no law prevent anybody for breaking it 100% of the time or prevent it from happening. Laws are just a deterrent and a consequence for breaking it. God does not control free will! Wearing your seatbelt is a law. Does it prevent death, no. Are there a whole lot of people still alive because they were wearing it. OH YES!!! That's all I am saying.

Honestly, I see that most of the DJI drone pilots are the issue. The potatoe drone they brought out increased the issue of people doing stupid stuff. Most FPV pilots are actually pretty careful about where and how they fly. So it is not just a general “drones” pilot issue. But hey. We are both generalising 😂 It is mostly a very small number of people doing dumb stuff and posting it.

No,FAA requires a certified pilots license..I know someone who started with drones and now he is an actual pilot working on his hours to be able to fly commercial aircraft.There is no such thing as an Rc license for flying.

I was a helicopter doorgunner for years and let me tell you, it wasn't other aircraft or mission sets that were scary. It was drones, paragliders, and RC planes that were waaay outside of where they should be that I had the most close calls with.

@@josecanseca8979 I was out of the hobby in terms of paying attention to social media pages since October, SNU was my only info source. I missed the posts but even before that period, I never saw anything from SSD, even for their SCX6 parts, I only found out about those in the SCX6 groups.

Like on many different Chinese, Korean or Taiwanese brands that are just unpopuin the us. But in europe we have way more than your typical us brands so it's easier for us check out what their quality is.

Tamiya has released several completely new chassis over the last couple of years. CC02, XV02, MB-0, BBC, ECT. This is in addition to the steady stream of new bodies. RC4WD releases stuff to a lesser extent, but bless their heart, they keep trying

@@Random4RC I am aware of that they have released a bunch of "new" models but are the really new, honestly Traxxas could be on the same list as Tamiya and RC4WD with how long they reuse the same platform and still calls it "new"

​@@patrikmoller3643 like Random4Rc already stated. They released COMPLETELY new chassis the last couple of years. In 2024 they already released two 100% new chassis like the mb-01 and the bt-01. And the bb-01 came out end of last year. The bbx on the bb01 chassis is absolutely awesome. And the steady stream if new bodies is a plus on top

Agreed. I would consider one if it wasn't pretty much the same cost as the 8s Arrmas or the Xmaxx. If i'm okay spending 850, i'm gonna wait a couple weeks and spend 1000 on a proven system.

Traxxas is the driving force behind all comparable Rcs . From a bashers pov the xxmaxx requires a couple mods that this truck already has . Now we’re at almost double the price . Ease of use and parts access and already proven is where the xxmaxx shines . Let’s see how these hold up I know it performs great just needs thicker center diff fluids

boomracing isnt doormat they just released there swb 88 build and all types of parts every other month..mind you im biased i own a brx01 and im not into there other kits or rtrs but there products of crafted great and the quality is there..when you over build basic brands and add what you have in those builds youll realize quickly having a quality build kit or rtr is priceless..yes it cost more but your getting a great product and the owners of boomracing talk with you on and interact on there facebook page daily with anyone..your comment just makes no sense but i get it tho you want a 399 rtr or kit go with FMS clone trx4 or some wpl stuff there cheaper and maybe thats more in your price point?Quality over Quantity my man....

It was a flat landing from 30ft so something was going to give and it didn’t strip the diff it chipped a couple teeth off but was still driving. I’m sure if it didn’t have the bigger motor and pinion gear he wouldn’t have flew as high.
