I saw my 3rd grade teacher in shorts at the school picnic. That was my first experience in seeing severe varicose veins. From then on, it was hard for me to view her in the same light I had before. She was a great teacher though, and to this day, it saddens me that I had that reaction. She passed away about 10 years ago, and I wish I would have tried harder to look her up and visit her after her retirement.

For anyone wondering those planes with "BETA" on them are from BETA Cargo (Brazilian Express Transportes Aéreos), founded in 1990 had a total of 5 planes, one Boeing 707-320C and 4 Douglas DC-8-73CF, they ceased operations in July of 2012 after there license was revoked. Looks like right there are 2 of the DC-8 and the 1 707. Since both type of planes were already over 10 years out of production when Beta was founded in 1990 they propably found no one to sell them to and they have been sitting on that airfield for 11 years now. The Green MAP planes belong to "MAP Linhas Aéreas", still active currently operates 5 ATRs of various types. These 2 there are missing the props and landing gear, so i am assuming they are used for spare parts.

My tip for never leaving anything behind in a hotel room: I always get a room with two beds. I sleep on the bed that's closest to the window and put my stuff on the bed that's closest to the door. The reason you need to lock those doors is due to certification of the aircraft for taxi, takeoff, and landing (TTL). When an aircraft is certified, there is a certain default configuration that some items have to be in (seats, doors, cabinets, etc.) in order for them to behave properly in the event of a crash. Those 'close when not in use' things are placards that are required to be there by the aviation authorities to inform the user of how the item needs to be configured. Seeing as that is a door, it also probably has to be locked when not in use for blowout load strength in case of a sudden depressurization event. It probably would not pass the stress analysis for a depressurization event, and those deadbolts are there to keep the door affixed to the monument so it doesn't become a projectile and decapitate somebody.

I used to be a aircraft mechanic on the 747F, and if the coffee maker didn't work, the plane didn't take off till it was fixed. Needless to say we kept a lot of spare coffee makers. Tip from a flight attendant: to make your coffee much much much stronger ( for your coworkers ) , we usually do not place two filters inside the coffee " drawer ". When we lower the handle , it has a tendency sometimes to puncture the coffee filters, hence having coffee grounds all over . Instead, what we do , just brew your coffee with one regular filter, then INSERT INSIDE THE COFFEE POT, another filter. That's how we make our Java strong to last during our " circadian lows" or super early wake-up. ⏰️ Love your videos my friend! 😍😉

THAT WAS AWESOME!!!! So many non pilots like me had no idea that piloting would be that intense and involved. I also think cargo would be tougher than passengers with all the safety checks they gotta worry about etc. i recently saw a plane go down because of fire, it must be a little worrying at times. but that view would be something. you get to see the world and thats cool! keep up the great work Kelsey!
