I tell everyone, I can't take Kirby Smart seriously as a title contending head coach until he actually beats Saban. I don't care how good Georgia looks.

I stopped doubting Bama years ago. When A&M beat them, people on good ole UKposts went off on me, for saying that Bama wasn't going to lose anymore this year.

Pretty sure that was the number one criticism Saban has was the lack of focus. It’s clear as day the Texas A&M game was a fluke. The real scary thing is this team is still young and have some even better freshman players on the bench. They’re going to be scary the next two years especially with Ty Simpson coming in and studying under Bryce next year.

Every game is a playoff game. Every team is a national championship contender. I am so tired of reading about how effort isn't the same every game. It is! It just so happens that the team on the other side has pride in performance as well. For Heaven's sake give them credit!

I thought Georgia had the best chance they've had to beat Bama in the CFP era. But nobody should ever count Saban's Bama out. They've pulled off the big win too many times.

TBH, the bama team this year really hadn't done as much to earn respect this year as they have in some other years. Sure, the talent was there, bit they couldn't put it to use consistently as a team. This is probably the first complete game they've played all year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they won and all, but I'm just surprised because they'd not shown me anything approaching this level of performance all year.

I'm an LSU fan and, after watching the Bama LSU game, or whatever that clusterfuck was, I was not impressed by Bama this year. They looked totally different today. They looked very good and I'm curious to see who they get to play in the playoffs. I'd love to see them play Michigan. I haven't seen Michigan this good since... basically since I've been old enough to follow any teams. Seriously though, what the hell happened vs. LSU? LSU is terrible this year and they basically should have beaten Bama if it weren't for two inexplicably overthrown wide open touchdown passes. I think Bama just hasn't been consistent this season. If they play like they played vs. GA today, though. They will probably win another championship imo. Good luck to them.

The ACC Atlantic and SEC West other than 1 or 2 weaker teams and of course some down years for different teams, those two divisions can be brutal year after year when people actually watch the teams play and not put a high ranking next to them just because of who they are.

I agree that it was a great showing by both teams. But Alabama wouldn't beat any pro teams. Maybe 5 of Alabama's players will make it in pros, fewer will last. The majority won't get a chance because pro is another level. It would be interesting to watch it, but it would be too dangerous, especially to the college team and no pro team would take a chance of an injury ruining an earning potential of the players for, what would boil down to, an exhibition match.

The whole team is made up of some of the best recruits in the nation every year. Everyone good wants to go to BAMA because it's basically a NFL mill.
