35 YEARS LATER, girl meets the fishermen who rescued her from sea. | Dads Also Cry #5
In 1986, 9-year-old Desireé Rodriguez was rescued from the Pacific Ocean by two fishermen after a shipwreck claimed the lives of her father, mother, aunt, uncle and sister. 35 years later she surprises these hero's and gets to say thank you in person. This is just one of the stories showcased in todays compilation.

@Iluvantir
@Iluvantir Рік тому
@@havefuntazarasu5367 Giving money to the less fortunate is a good thing, always. However... why are they videoing themselves doing so? That's a set up. They are looking for the "pat on the back" from others, for the applause. For the "You are a wonderful person!" that people will tell them. That is their reward, and they got it, and it's empty. Fame always is. When someone does a truly good deed that comes from the heart, they do it in as much silence as possible. They do it without planning to, or setting up a record of it, or even try to be as secretive as possible about it. A man in France climbs five floors of the outside of a building to save a child. He didn't set up the camera and plan it, he was caught on camera by someone he did not know. He just did the right thing when the opportunity came for it. Or these two gentlemen in this vid: they saved a life and were just so overjoyed that the little girl got to grow up to be a woman and have a life that they burst into tears. They weren't bragging. "We're not heroes" they say, and back away from the praise. Why? Because praise from fellow humans is empty. Means nothing. And if you go seeking that type of praise, you'll get it... and end up with as much nothing as you started with. You do the right thing just to do it, to please the Father in Heaven. When he rewards, it'll be for eternity.

I lived on 22nd street at the time, 1 mile west near the corner of 22ND and Pacific. I remember this like it was yesterday. I have been in San Pedro now for 40 years. And yes, they are her guardian angels and her hero's!

I worked as a Rescue Specialist for the Canadian Coast Guard Search & Rescue for more than 20 years. The rescued girl story brought back many memories for me , of uniting families , saving lives and unfortunately giving closure to families by retrieving their lost ones who weren't so fortunate. How fortunate I was to have such an awarding job. Great story . I've got a million of them.
