So Jane had a babysitter named Becky who abused her, and 8-10 yrs later she just assumes it’s the same Becky who is going to be babysitting that girl, doesn’t even confirm the identity or tell the parents about her so they can warn other parents and save other children from the abuse she may cause. Makes sense 👍🏻

@lakatosalex
@lakatosalex 7 років тому
Hi Ella. No, you were not offensive. If you don't have folks with sensory disability around you, you couldn't have known. :) Well, as I wrote before I am LEGALLY blind, I consider myself lucky because I have 7% sight on my right eye, 0% on the left, so basicly I'm just using Windows's screen Magnifyer, docked to the top 1.5 inches of my screen :) People with absolutely no sight use so-called screen readers, to help them navigate throught web pages, etc. When they type a letter, the system reads back the letter or word os sentence for them, that's pretty neat, i'nn it? :) We may also use voice typing but as most of the folks in my country don't speak English well enough to be recognised a by a speech engine, this option is almost non-existant here. As my nativel language is spoken roughly by 15 million people, it just simply doesn't worth it to develop the algorythms to perfection. I sometimes use the English voice engine to chat around witth friends, but since I have a slight accent It's accurate only 80-85% of the time, so... :) Cheers! :)

Thank you really, you are that ONE person who actually has the "face value" to reply to such a comment after they found out they've made some really funny comments. I call them funny, because there is nothing wrong or sinister/offensiver in them. I mean you had an honest question about a situation you were not familiar with. And truly I'm greatful for your simphaty, but pls don't be "sorry" for me. My condition is my special kind of "lense" to observe the world. Hey haven't I had this condition wouldn't I be albe to communicate with you via English, I suppose :) So once again don't feel wrong about your comment either, but neither about my condition :P I''m a master's degree certified psychologyst, so I guess the world is "all ours" :) Once again thank you for replying regardless your first comment. :) And my love goes out for you too! ^_^

I love your Candace while reading these intriguing stories and I’ve been wanting a soothing voice to my ear for a while so I’m now an avid listener and just recently wanted to start the addition of falling asleep to them which would be a extension to my current routine of listening to the narrations before bed but my husband who is not into this world at all has been asking me not to. Even with headphones he feels I’ll sleep walk or something worse while not knowing what I’m doing being in my sleeping state. So for now I’m going to have to be happy with my current routine and I’m more than happy to still have it.

The man in the background in the first part is actually a real person. His name is Raymond Robinson. In 1919, when Raymond Robinson was eight years old, he was reaching for a bird’s nest at the top of an electrical pole when he was suddenly shocked with 11,000 volts of electricity and sent flying to the ground in a blinding flash. The high-voltage shock burnt Robinson’s face and arms, leaving holes where his eyes and nose once were. People made up stories and rumors about him, saying he roamed the streets at night, chasing people around. It's really sad that people use his picture for scary stories like this. He went through something terrible and barely survived, and scary story channels like this use him as a 'spooky background'.

The way someone narrates a story reveals A LOT. Tense(s), pronouns, the order in which certain events are presented and how detailed they are (incl. timeline, build-up, vocabulary, repetition etc.) and so on. That man in the picture of the first story is Charlie no face aka “The Greenman” his real name is Raymond Robinson. He was a very well known man back in the day in Pennsylvania. Some of my relatives have actually personally met him and said he was a very kind man. He was actually very well liked around these parts. People used to bring him cigarettes and beer after the electrical accident because his disfigured look created such a ruckus that he would go for walks at night. Not that anyone probably cares but I figured I’d post some fun facts about the man in the picture.

I had a traumatic incident happen to me at McDonald’s when I was 6 also. I still think about it to this day. I’m 36 now. The way you described the scene was exactly the same. A bearded homeless man sat in the booth behind us, with my uncles back towards the man and me facing the man. I remember him gesturing and whispering that he was going to fucking kill me. I couldn’t eat my happy meal. I just remember trembling and almost peeing myself. I was terrified. Too terrified to tell my uncle. Every time we’d drive by that McDonald’s I would be terrified to go back in. This story really freaked me out. This guy didn’t pull his penis out tho.

@Loosie_fur. I remember one incident as a child in the early 70s ( there was 2). It was just like the one described...I was in Regents Park London and about 12 or 13 years old. I was sitting on the grass reading my book as I ate my packed lunch. I looked up and a man was sitting about 20 foot away from me in the corner of the park staring intently as he played with what looked like a small animal..something small and pink ... on the grass infront of him... I was alone because my dad told me it was time for me to become more independent.(.yeah right ?) Its remains a vivid memory over 40 years later.. I remember not understanding what I was seeing and thought he was playing with a puppy or kitten. I moved in a little closer ( curiosity got the better of me ) . He grinned at me coldly and I remember the gap in his front teeth as I had one too.... When I realised what he was doing I ran like hell all the way home didnt look behind me just kept running.... Mum reported it to the police by phone.. I gave her a very clear description of the man...maybe late 20s suited in a 70s blue suit andvblack boots....with a head of short curly thick black hair, coal dark eyes, a jet black moustache and neatly trimmed goatee. His smart image didnt fit with what I saw which was why I wasnt suspicious at first. Nothing came of it.but a few years later I saw someone who looked identical ...On the news...His name...Peter Sutcliffe The Yorkshire Ripper....He looked exactly like the man in the park..How was it possible? Sutcliffe is believed now to be responsible for more murders including abducting 2 school girls about my age in London in 70s . Apparently he liked 14 yr olds and I was chunky and althetic so looked older..He commited crimes from his lorry too while travelling back to Bradford and some were in London...(Chris Clarke and Tim Hicks collated a series of Lorry Murder articles). I will never forget that cold unblinking smile.......was it Sutcliffe? Ill never know but I often wonder if the police had taken it more seriously ..come to interview me......could he have been stopped sooner? Whoever it was it was a lucky escape for me... ....

Interesting thing about Cary Stayner: he's the brother of Steven Stayner, who was kidnapped and was missing for about 4-5 years before he managed to escape along with a child who he helped escape and brought back to his family (as well as reunite with his own.) Sadly Steven died in a motorcycle accident in 1989 at the age of 24. The young boy he helped escape, Timothy White, sadly also died in 2010. He was a Sheriff in LA and gave many lectures to children about being safe. It's all on Wiki :D. I'm glad the two managed to get away and live their lives repetitively to the fullest.

I love those stories that end with a “Let’s not meet, because I fear for your life more then mine. Watch out.” They give me more hope.

That one with the ten year old boy and abusive dad hit me hard. My son turns ten next month and I can't imagine him being subjected to anything this scary. I'm glad this guy's mom didn't go back. He says "who would" but the answer is lots and lots of abused women.

Your voice is perfect for narration especially the stories that you narrate. Your tone is on point and the music in the background is ominous, great videos. Xoxo!
