The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.

Have this tool, it's the same as the old craftsman. Both units can interchange parts. Both are from the dewalt factory. It has many attachments, but it was not good at anything. It's designed for casual DIYer. It was discontinued like 5 or 6 years ago. Are they making a comeback?

I've had my multievo for like 4 years now. I only have the circular saw and the impact driver but I plan on getting the router and a few more. Also maybe get a matrix since those have more powerful batteries and one of mine has died recently. I've done tons of small jobs at home with it. It's a life saver! I did have to remove the lower protection from the circular saw because when using it it would cover the exhaust and couldn't vacuum anything (mine has a vacuum cleaner adapter).

I'm about to build a shipping container cabin. I just bout this multi tool for $180, going to drop another $60 on the circular saw attachment and i think it's going to be the most used tool I have in my kit. To be clear, not the only tool I'll need, i'll have much more robust tools... but seeing what this thing is capable of... I feel like i just got an absolute steal.
