I did this but much shorter distance. The problem, if you are not aware, is that when you hit the water, the bottom of your shoes, if angled the wrong way can cause your leg from the knee down to shoot out in an undesirable direction with a lot of force. I ended up laying on the shore for about fifteen minutes in pain because one of my knees was Seriously hyper-extended. It's been 30 years since my jump and I still have a weak knee from it.

I really wonder if wearing the helmet wasn't a mistake. Hitting the water at 123Kmh feet first, he was instantly decelerated significantly, compressing his spine. An instant later, as he was probably still traveling at a speed in excess of 80Kmh, that helmet became an instant "aqau-parachute", causing more rapid deceleration. Firmly strapped to his head, he's lucky it didn't cause an Atlanto-occipital dislocation....effectively a separation of your skull from your spine while leaving your head attached to the tissue of the neck. No wonder he appeared to be rather shaken up as he exited the water. But at least when he is 65 (assuming he lives that long if he keeps doing things like this) he'll know why he can't turn is head any more.

it's anchored to the rock that it's sitting on. on the face of it you can see that a 2x6 is anchored and a piece of 1"-1 1/2" OSB is fastened to that, likely spanning out to the edge of the rock. under the black platform I'd assume there are several 4' pieces of steel extending from the very front to the rock at a 45° angle, which would also be anchored in with some concrete lag screws that are anywhere from 4-6" long. this was probably assembled beforehand therefore all they'd have to do is bolt it to the wooden platform & anchor it. just a guess, neat stuff nonetheless

My brother and I once jumped off about a 50’ bridge. I said “I’ll do a flip!” I jumped off again and did a perfect 1 1/4 and landed right on my face. Knocked myself out cold. I lucky I didn’t break my neck. My brother and a couple of people were down in my boat under the bridge. When they started to drag me back onto the swim step of my boat, right as I was coming to, a lady that was watching in another boat yelled over “did that hurt?”

I once jumped from a high dive platform when I was 14 years old (not my idea ,I am afraid to get 2 steps off the ground) on the way down to my belly flop , I am thinking “IF. I SURVIVE THIS STUPID Stunt I WILL NEVER EVER GET TALKED INTO DOING SOMETHING I DON’T WANT TO DO ! As I hit water my breath was knocked out of my lungs 🫁 but hitting the water was worse! As I tried to move to the edge of the pool I noticed that good looking Life Guard was on his feet watching me at that moment I was the only girl he had his mind and eyes on ! So I call that a perfect dive ! He came over to make sure I was alright helped me out of the pool ! One of my fondest memories ! Better then a Gold MEDAL ! I am 85 now but oh that guy was cute !) I thinking

15 meters was my limit. It allows one time to contemplate "Was this the best idea" And then one's testicles hits the water and you have the answer.

Thats some feat 🙌 When I was about 14 i jumped off the rocks in Gibraltar many times feet fist I would say from 5-6m and into salt water no problem. Fast forward a year and I decided to show off and dive head first from a 5m board into fresh water.... my head impacting the water almost knocked me out and my neck ached for days !!!!

I have always enjoyed cliff jumping. It's a pretty popular summer activity where I live. I've gone off some pretty high ones, we used to have a spot right next to a waterfall where u jump from aways above the waterfall and end up falling next to it. It was around 60-70 ft. Measured with rope. So give or take some ft. The turbulence after landing was very intense. I can only imagine what this one would feel like.
