Contain modified parts? Where? I see only electronics fit into LEGO:) Please write some links on used non-lego parts, this looking great!
@hybricks93905 років тому
Thanks Emmet. Regarding the modified parts. Please have a good look at the modified cross-brick used to avoid bending axles. And, although it's hard to see, the vertical axle used in the steering mechanism is quite a tricky modification ;) Furthermore I often resize a 59426 cross axle with stop (is the closest to a ball bearing). But you're right. That's it. The disclaimer regarding modified parts became a standard to warn LEGO purist and avoid unnecessary discussions.

Can you do instructions on the chassis please

although i agree rubber band suspensions take less space, they are less strong. Stiff suspensions are always better than weaker suspensions because if your lego car goes over a bump @20 plus mph your car is less likely to touch the bottom with a stiff suspension
@Bmr4lifeРік тому
They make stronger rubberbands

The tip with the credit card was very helpful, so far I have controlled the differential from both sides. Are you on instagram?
@hybricks93903 роки тому
Not on Insta, sorry. Totally agree to use credit card on both sides. Please have a look here:ukposts.info/have/v-deo/cHZmhKBkn46XrX0.html. Updated version of the LBOW with more tuning tips.

That is a really, really neat steering solution. I have built a couple and none are anywhere near as neat and as well packaged as that, how did you avoid slop on the ball joints at the wheel end ? Mine seem to have a lot wobble.
@hybricks93905 років тому
Thanks! I tend to position the steering beam 1 stud further than normal. This gives some extra tension on the steering axles, which removes wobble. Furthermore, in this set up, having the ball joint on a cross axles (in stead of a beam) one can adjust their position to create toe-in or toe-out. Which is great, knowing that driving forward will pus the wheel somewhat backwards. Finally, sometimes in makes sense to also have a rubber band parallel to the steering axle. All 'n all, these measures help creating direct steering, when driving fast, you want every move of the servo to be directly fed to the front wheels (especially having this gyro in place). Hope this helps.

BTW Jet drives have arrived :)))

So this video basically tells you not to build a lego rc car, but a normal rc car from example carrera
@carlbModels3 роки тому
wow, I had linked a UJ to a 540 using plastic wedge method, but direct pinion is far better. Many thank! plus I had worked out servo attachment, but seriously the pinion mod is awesome! will save lots of melting as the first lego the sees motion will be geared down, not running at motor speed. awesome! Why are there so many purist types? it's not sacred! it's who ever bought the bricks to do with, what they want. If Lego themselves can't solve a problem, they produce a new brick Why shouldn't we do this with glue/cutting/drilling?

Very cool mod for the lego technic car Can you tell me which 12 teeth pinion gear you mounted at the brushed motor? Is it a winghobby out of brass? Thank for the answer, I will rebuild your mod on the new lego technic porsch 911 rtr
@ryancarr41462 роки тому
How did you go with the porsche 911 rtr? I'm looking at doing the same with mine. Also whats a good kv rating for something like this?

Very great ! Where i Can buy this motor ? And it run on Lego battery ?

Motor is bought here: Conrad.com (brushless 460 motor). It runs on a 3S-lipo battery (no LEGO battery)

Nice ! You don't put grease on your pinions and other ? I have make some tests with homemade boats and car with Lego and grease is needed.
@hybricks93905 років тому
Hi Antoine. Nop, no grease on these pinions necessary. If you try to use a 59426 as often as possible, you will notice that you have hardly friction. This axle comes closest to a ball bearing.
@kellyspoolhall7613 роки тому
I use silicone lubricant. It goes on wet but dries quickly.
