@@SwapBlogRU Again, nah, because these tasks are usually only about aligning planes correctly and stopping them on a spot. Planes are rarely to never near enough to any obstacle to hit it. Occasionally, you would use people as wing walkers if there was a risk, but it was very uncommon. It was part of my job in the RAAF.

@@engineer6674 (if your serious) At landing just before touch down the pilot pulls back on the Stick/yoke to bring the nose up and reduce the rate of decent right at touchdown. this is called the flare.

Believe it or not you can stand pretty close to running engines from the front at idle, 20-25 feet typically.

@@chuckles_kIt’s not the same plane, nor the same incident. The plane in the video is a B747-400 touching down somewhere that’s definitely not LAX. The one that went viral a few days ago was a B747-8, and that one landed at LAX.

@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183No dude, it’s not. Take the wingtip for example. The latest one, (the one not in this video) has a flat wingtip. A wingtip that is flat at the end. The one in this video, has a raked wingtip. One that sticks up towards the end. Take a look again and let me know! :)

I don't know why that guy stands there so long in the cloud of toxic smoke! Yuck! Your lungs can't handle that kind of abuse! The airport marshal bit was really COOL and instructive. If I ever have to guide an A380 into a parking spot, I'll remember that one.

Wait, I think that the first 747 clinched to crosswind and windsheer, but failed, so 747 did Go-Around soon.. 1 : This 747 was braking so hard, cuz landing autobrake maybe selected "Max", and fly again under 1 second 2 : 0:23 - this plane was yawing to the left until 2nd taking off

I have a tough time believing the pilot forgot to flare. It is far more likely the pilot made all decisions based on all of the information they had, all of the training they received. Boeing aircraft need a harder touch down than Airbus so when I see a video about a pilot forgetting to flare I have doubts.

How in the world do you forget to flare when landing ? , even the runway view is not the same when we'll below minimums , it is like forgetting to extend your landing gear. I majored in Aviation starting in 1981 & never forgot to flare.

the first clip has no credit give. You wiped the logo and the sound. I doubt you had permission from Airline Videos Live to use it. Why would you work so hard to scrub a video of all owners marks and change the audio? That just ain’t right.
