Love your website and these build videos. I appreciate it may not be in your bounds but I'd love to see a "choosing a monitor video", more video's on cable management and placement, also, if i'm not asking to much haha, actually connecting to the monitor and installing windows. I'm very much learning and it would be great to see but I really have learnt a whole lot from your website already. Thank you.

It's a nice build. Can you install windows 10 on NvME drives directly? It wasn't the case when they first came out. In a case like this is it worth getting an SFX PSU just to give you more clearance at the bottom so you can install a fan to keep hard disks cool?

I concur, it will cool just about enough to not make the CPU thermal throttle, but the hacksaw-like sound of the stock cooler @ 3200 rpm during summer days is something you don't want :D

When you play new and heavy cpu eating titles and your PC starts to sound like an airplane that is about to lift off, then it's time for decent after market cooler. I had that moment when I started to play BF1.

Also if you get the Z170 chipset for 10-20 bucks more you can do a BCLK OC if that's your thing. My 6500 has been running at 4.4 GHz for a long time, it's great! Matches the 6600K for a good chunk less money.
@zendo0x461

Noah B if you're spending more for a z170 might as well get a 6600k also, it overclocks much better
@NoahBB
@NoahBB 7 років тому
Eric k 4.4 GHz at a safe voltage is fine for me, it all depends on your budget. I was tight on money when I first built my rig and didn't know much about computers, but today I'm still fine with my 6500 choice, it was bundled with a good mobo and I saved $100ish dollars compared to a 6600k.

@BillPairaktaridis 7 років тому
Hardware is very rarely discounted on Black Friday. What you might get is either older stuff, like AMD APUs with motherboard bundles or slightly older cases. Also, I reckon monitors, keyboards and such might be on sale. Black Friday is overrated for building computers, since retailers seem to have much smaller profit margins there versus, say, consoles and TVs, which go on massive sales.
