A few things not mentioned. # God Save the King/Queen has been a national anthem in over 15 countries, which include Germany, Russia, Lichtenstein, Netherlands, and The United States of America (God save George Washington). # It is also a hymnal of which there are about 5 versions. # Was an anthem for noble German families in the 19th century. The jubilee overture by Carl Maria von Weber has the most magnificent version in it. Well worth the listen. # It was because of God save the Queen (HIM Queen Victoria), that the Royal Military School of music was established at Kneller hall as a centre of Military music. Yes, and I am still puzzled if when King Edward VII and King George V had it played it three times when they had summit meetings with Kaiser Wilhelm II of Prussia and Kaiser Franz- Joseph of Austro-Hungary whose anthem it also was, not to mention Czar Nicholas II!
