You hit the nail on the head. That is EXACTLY why momma refused to feed her babies. Inside her head, she was totally freaking out. This unfamiliar territory and smells/scents, along with "stranger" cats. She was probably even looking for an escape route, considering she is (or rather, was) an outdoor kitty. But once she acclimated to everything, she calmed right down, accepted her babies, and even started eating. It's funny with how cats' brains work, but it all makes perfect sense and is very easy to understand when you start thinking like a cat! 😸😻🥰😻😽

Well people care so much about Cats that there is now an unbalance in the ecosystem where some species of Birds are now in danger because of them if you think consciously about it rather than based on pure subjectivity. They prey on them instinctively which is normal in nature but they leave the corpse uneaten because they aren't starving and loose little by little the habits of hunting for feeding themselves since they are used to be fed by Humans. Cute doesn't mean not harmful unfortunately.

Это нелепейшая постановка: стоит её отпустить, она тут же убегает дважды к материализовавшемуся из ниоткуда котёнку, и то мимо его в страхе от этих сам себе режиссёров. Одна и та же комната всегда. Никакого карантина для новых животных. Ноль лотков и тарелочек в кадре. Приют выглядит не так.
