Had this fun idea of showing off what a day in my life looks like. I'm an indie game developer, currently working on a physics based stickman game. I'm also studying for a Computer Science bachelor. Hope you enjoyed this video of a day in the life of an indie game developer! I had a lot of fun making it :)

Hey! If you're new here, welcome! I'm an indie game developer, currently working on a physics based game using Unity. This is my devlog / devblog where I show off the progress I make on it. I'll try uploading every week, but I'm pretty busy with university and part time job, so I won't have time every week. But I'll do my best!
For game development I use Unity, and making games with Unity is very fun and intuitive, it's free if you are interested!

I love these Dev Logs too. You learn a lot when the developer explains the steps he/she is taking. These kind of videos inspired me to start game dev in Unity and make my channel. I've been using Unity for eight months now and still a long way to go!

I'm also gonna study computer science next year, so just some quick questions regarding that Surface Pro you're using: Does it hold up, or does it sometimes lagg under heavy load? Does it feel natural taking notes on it? Can you easily use it on your lap? Would you recommend it? (why (not)? )

Hey man! It's a fantastic computer for sure, but also a bit pricey. Taking notes on it works like a charm, and as long as you get 8gb ram on it, it runs very well. I'm in love with mine. But to answer your last question, it can sometimes be a struggle to have on your lap. I mean it works, but it can be kinda wonky at times. I still use it a lot on my lap, but just keep in mind it's not as stable as other laptops.

I had a 4gb ram laptop with HDD and it sucked. Getting SSD and 8 gb ram is important because many IDEs are very memory heavy.

similar day when I go to school as well. I am going for a BS in Game Design so you and I share a pretty similar routine. Its cool though, even with such simple visual feedback you were able to achieve a lot and communicate what you want to the player.
