they cant help with this they will only cause more activity by conducting investigation and allowing more entities, spirits and things to manifest. In other words Sam and Colby will stir the pot. I mean yes they can help with explaining to him different kinds of things and feeling the vibe out but I dont think they can help much if it is a negative entity/spirit. What Sherman needs is demonologists and priests to bless the home and rid the house of spirits through various prayers symbols and exorcisms. This spirit is clearly an invasive spirit and it doesnt look like it has any intention of leaving. He needs professionals. Sam and Colby are investigators which can provide more information on spirits than anyone has ever seen. so Yeah they could preform their investigations and collect that data and then which sherman can use, and give to the person that will help him, to help them better understand what they are dealing with.
