Back here after over two years to watch the trailer that got me into the series, after now having played nearly all of the games.

Wait why tf is this a limited time release? The game is 30 years old and easily pirated. You're literally just creating opportunities for pirates. Once you stop selling it, it's gonna bring in ad revenue to ROM sites and sales revenue to reproduction game cartridge sellers.

Your most dedicated fans already preorder all of the major things or otherwise purchase them soon after release, you don't need to create artificial urgency. I hope this tactic loses you a lot of money, or better yet, you back off on it and just let this stuff remain available when it's more profitable that way anyway. I'm fairly certain leaving this game available on the eshop costs you guys absolutely nothing but maybe a gigabyte of storage space on a server somewhere. tl;dr, Nintendo, just stop it.

I can relate to the kid who played Marth: when I first played Melee, I was confused on who Marth was AND what Fire Emblem was. I hope the OTHER Japanese-exclusive games come to America too!

If Nintendo localized all three Mother games with new updated translations and title screens like this and made an EarthBound collection, I would literally throw money at my screen. Gonna buy this to support more rereleases of old games like this.

My first was GBA Fire Emblem.I fell in love with the storytelling as well as the music. How the Music has evolved up to this point in Fire Emblem 3 Houses was truly breathtaking. I am excited to see this happening. Not just to see the evolution of Gameplay but to see where the Music started from as well. 30 years of Fire Emblem. Astonishing.....Hopefully....we can get the original anime????

Can’t believe they actually acknowledged Melee, _and_ localised Fire Emblem. I don’t know enough about the series to say this is the first game, IDK.

I'm really interested in hearing the backstory of that girl from the skit at the beginning. Why does she know so much about Fire Emblem, and is surprised that her friend doesn't? Is she a transfer student from Japan who moved to America during the N64 era, and assumed the five Fire Emblem games she played back home got localizations she just hadn't met anyone who owned yet? And why is she using localized names that didn't exist back in 2001? She would have been calling Caeda "Shiida," and probably would have been tangled up in online debates as to whether the dragon girl is named "Tiki" or "Chiki."

Anybody else want a Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones rerelease/remake? I just miss the amazing sprite work for those games. Kinda wish we could experience polished up versions of what got me, and probably quite a number of people in the US, into Fire Emblem in the first place.
