I’m 26 I think I was 13-14 when I saw this fight live . Everyone was in their prime at this time . Urijah faber , cowboy cerrone, mike brown . Including WEC . UFC really has come along way ever since .

@@one4all885 This is actually proper technique of flying knee in Muay Thai. You jump up with the lead knee forward and then you switch which generates power for the right knee to land devastating blow. Aldo knocked him out with the first knee and second knee which had more torque barely landed. If the timing would be better and the second knee would landed with full impact ... daaaamn. I don't even want to know.

Pre USADA Aldo was something else. Aldo and Barao were so dominant for a while, then both lost their sheen when USADA came in and everyone thought that was it. But Aldo regrouped and came back a more mature fighter. No idea what happened to Barao though 😂

I don't think Aldo's downfall was because of USADA, I think the Conor loss just fucked his mental game up a lot plus whatever injury or whatever made him get away from leg kicks

Its usually a combination of factors that explain the downfall of a certain fighter. For Barao it was likely the banning of IV's which made weight-cuts harder, adversely effecting his performance in the cage. TJ Dillashaw must also have shattered his confidence and aged him with those one-sided clinics he dished out on Barao, much like Gaethje did to Tony. Another reason may also be the fact that Barao never evolved as a fighter, and the competition rapidly surpassed him.
