Concrete everywhere, blind corners, narrow, extremely high speeds … man oh man I hope no one is hurt at this track

I hope Bernd gets lots of practice laps, I fully expect there to be several safety cars this weekend. High speed and close walls gonna mean crashes most likely. And I hope Masi is willing to call the safety car right away, unlike in Baku.

I love that these safety cars are road beasts and are going flat out, yet if the Formula cars are behind them they struggle to keep their tires warm. 😅

Played it in 1.75x speed.. made it way more clear for this weekend

I've been watching F1 for over 20 years, and this is one of the first times I can't shake the feeling of "is this going to be ok?" I think the Germans call it an 'unheimlich' feeling.

Normal race: "bring the car home safely" This GP: "try not to perish"

This looks like a Formula E track. Can you imagine F1 cars with F1 speeds and down force going down that track. 😱

Seeing this on-board really shows how narrow this circuit is. Couple that with the fresh road surface and it makes the possibility of a Max or Lewis DNF seem that much more likely on Lap 1. I hope the season isn't decided by Lap 1 carnage at a new circuit but I feel like it's on the table more so than I originally thought.

Maybe it's just me, but overtaking is gonna be difficult here since: 1. Track is narrow 2. Lack of runoff areas Qualifying will he super important here.

The track seems like it would be interesting for hotlapping. Now about the race itself, no overtakes are gonna happen, and plenty of crashes and safety car drama awaits.

ive never anticipated a FP1 in a long while. I can't shake the feeling that this place will be punishing many many drivers. The track is all concrete, and ALL mistakes are going to be kissing that concrete!

This will be an interesting quali and race for sure, cant wait!

When you put Monaco, Singapore and Baku altogether . I see red flags, and multiple safety cars during both quali and race. Expecting a crazy result. And that T1-T2 section is calling for a pile up off the start.

This may as well be stated as the most interesting race for this season. This track is not to be messed with. lap 1 turn 1-2, will be the highlight of the race i think.

It’s very tight with a lot of fast flowing corners. Looks like it’s gonna be a great race or something like a faster Monaco.

For the first second i thought it was a pit lane cause very narrow. Then i realize it's the track 😂

This track is insane no room for error

The corners are tight, overtaking will be a nightmare on here. I expect lot of safety car incidents. Crashing at turn 1 is very much a possibility. Max & Lewis need to lot more careful, one DNF or any incident will hand the title to the other as overtaking here will not be easy however fast your power unit is. Hopefully, it will be exciting.

My prediction, it is going to be a mess! Those who get to do a qualifying lap without traffic are going to be lucky, especially the whole of F1 will be lucky if we are not going to see a car at full speed slamming into a another car which is on an out or inlap and thus slow. No room for mistakes but obviously mistakes are going to be made, what happens if a car does hit the wall and another car coming at full speed? there is nowhere to go to avoid a stranded car. I think this is insanity but of course big money is involved and hence safety goes overboard.

The safety car looks like it's going so slow even though I assume it's close to the limit. It just speaks to how fast an F1 car really is.

Not gonna lie, I'm really scared of probably witnessing another Spa F2 2019. There will definitely be crashes in these walls, and I don't see how the cars won't bounce back on the track.

I like how they say old tracks are dangerous and ruining them with asphalt runoff areas, but a tight 230+ average speed street circuit is not...($ speaks i think)

Barriers and curbstones at a couple of cm on a brand new track, this is going to be a crashfest and maybe one of the most interesting races this year.

Qualifying will be amazing at this track.

I have to say this track looks really dangerous; specifically from 1:30 - 1:50. Flat out series of bends with a chance for some nasty trajectories into concrete walls at speed and rebounding back onto blind sections of the track. Would Charlie Whiting have approved this?

People are here in the comments talking about the race and overtaking, I am more worried about the qualifying and free practice sessions, there can be some serious crashes since there isn't much space if any for the slower cars to move over the faster cars, which I think can also lead to slower lap times than those promised. Not to mention all the rumours about the barriers being weaker or more dangerous or something and the fresh road surface as well.

I watch f1 races for almost 20 years now. This time, it's the first time I am scared of a track, especially for the sundays race. In my opion they should not start the race to avoid any dangeroues accidents. Spa this year would have been much more safer than this. I hope that no body is gonna be killed!!!

2 races to go, its so exciting, we have seen some great overtakes, it's on a knife edge. So what do they do... go to a track where its appears virtually impossible to overtake!!!

These safty car laps really show us how fast those F1 cars actually are!

I'm sure I'm not the only one watching this and memorized by the sound of the safety car, especially when it's down shifting going into the turns. All I'm saying is if they ever need a driver (even just as a fill in) I volunteer as tribute! It really would be a memory I'd cherish as well as a ✔ on the bucket list
