I bought moto edge 30 last week at 26k for the 8/128 version. What a phone it is. Talking about this phone, never mind 4g or 5g ... If your budget is tight you can go for this device without a single thought. Just one suggestion use gcam for better camera performance. 🙂

Moto is the only brand which offers stock android in mid range segment, however 5G in India will be implemented with NSA strategy across the nation for another 3 years from now on for wider coverage. so SA might be implemented post that, it makes sense to buy a 4G phone right now after watching reviews on how 5G data cap is just vanishing with a blink.

Yes, I would buy 4G phone! In my case, 4G is more than sufficient for my usage and I have broadband at home that takes care of my needs at work as well.

I am still using 4G mobiles while living in London, Uk since last one year. Not feeling any urge to upgrade to 5G phones even in the near future. This 5G is really hype and even after launch there will not be much need of 5G. So while buying or using mobiles features should be preferred rather than the count of 5G bands. I use Redmi K20 pro and Samsung Galaxy F62.

I don’t see any problem with going for a 4G device in 2022. Moreover, seeing the battery drain with the 5G connectivity made me happy on my decision to buy a 4G with better camera and processor rather than going with the hype. However, it’s an individual decision under many factors. But, anybody with a new 4G, don’t bother much, it can pull off the coming years without any hassle😊.

Frankly speaking we can still use 4G devices for another 5-6 years without any hassle. 5G in our country just launched and still under testing phase in most major cities. Another thing to consider is that majority of us has Fiber/WiFi access at all the stages. Personally brought Micromax A91 (Android version 4.0.4) back in 2013, and my current device is Redmi note 7 pro from Nov'2020 - 7 long years with no android updates and with 3G network 😆😆😆😆😆

Will the telecoms throttle 4G speeds to force consumers to adopt 5G, does anyone see this happening? Am thinking of getting this for a senior relative. This or the m53 5g. Screen, dual speakers and camera are the parts i am interested in. Budget is less than 20000 so the Realme 9 pro +, A52s are out of contention.

Can you comment about signal quality and call quality(speaker/microphone). I currently have a sumsang phone with low signal reception. The only reason I haven't switched to dabba phone(for calls) is VoWifi.

I'm using last year's redmi note 10 pro and it is really a good phone. I am also very happy with the 4g speed in my area and 4g+ works flawlessly. The stock camera is very good and gcam support is also very good.

Absolutely, I just fallen in love with this phone... If I can get around 50Mbps in a 4g device I am good to go...

I'd definitely consider buying one as from where I am residing now, it at least take more than a year and some fro a proper 5g rollout and deliverance of a consistent speed, and from whichever way you look the G72 is a steal !!!

as a person who is not dependent on mobile data or speed 4g or 5g doesn't matter. I personally use mobile data to check maps. send messages when I am outside that's all. indoors I am always connected to a speedy wifi so for a user like me debate is all about if its worth the price instead of 4g or 5g

I'm okay with 4G if it's a really good phone apart from that. What I look for in a phone mainly is fast charging and decent battery life or ultra fast charging and not so good battery life, good cameras, a high resolution and highly responsive display with dual speakers suited for a good multimedia experience, max settings on games but less than average to average performance is okay, and good haptics will be an appreciated luxury.

I personally couldn't care less about 5G. I mostly use Wi-Fi, and mobile data is only for texting/browsing when I'm out. 4G is way more than enough for that. I wouldn't consider 5G a deal breaker if I'm looking to buy a phone in the sub 20k segment.

The business is way good in india because people tend buy new things actually in india without considering its usefulness and i don't see this type of hypes on electronic devices that too for a smartphone in EU countries,I think even though they are ahead of technology they spend wisely on smartphones. Our youngsters needs to learn this and invest in better more productive things than spending in fruit company smartphones mainly for fashion style.

I try to avoid moto phones nowadays. While these phones look good on paper, I just don't think they are reliable enough. Bad support, delayed software updates and just unreliable hardware (after a period of time) are some of the problems I noticed. It all started after Lenovo took over. I still have a moto g which was made by google and it still runs well.

For a 4g phone a reasonable data plan will cost you around 2800/- per year, for 5g it will cost double that amount (not right now but eventually) and we don't need that much internet speed, it will burn all our data in less then 15 minutes. all our requirement gets fulfilled with 4G itself. If anyone wants even more speed then go for Wi-Fi, that will give you unlimited data. Whole country can't be covered by 5G(at least in the forcible future). To all the carrier companies Please don't increase the data plan price any further. Thank You.

I bought the moto g71 for my dad for 14.5k over this phone just coz of 5g. As my dad will be using his phone for atleast 5 years, he would have felt left out with g72.

recently I purchase it around 13k with all bank offers and exchange also. and I use it for my secondary phone. so it is nice I feel.

I brought a g62 at 16k. Though it lacks a amoled screen , 120Hz makes up for it. Had confusion between g71, poco X4 pro and g62. G72 is a very good mobile but it will end up being unnoticed because no one is going to spend 17k+ on a 4g phone now.

I seriously wouldn't mind a 4g phone, infact i was myself looking for a decent 4g phone around 20k mainly because i don't usually buy into hypes that fast and besides it'll be years before 5G becomes available to rural parts but the biggest deal breaker for me was that most 4g phones in 20k price segment weren't offering good processor, i mean yeah stock android experience is great and all but helio g99?? when you can get 778g or even snapdragon 870( if you can stretch your budget a little bit) then why even bother! Maybe if i was looking to get a phone for my family only then i would have considered this one(because of clean experience) other than that there simply are better options. edit: typo

this phone deserves attention i hope if the G99 would provide more powerful Mali G76 gpu the one's on G95 &G90T they were not sustainable for longer gaming sessions in higher frame rate due to 12nm which had 60fps option unlocked but not with G96 due to weaker gpu if G99 had G76 gpu it would be most powerful gaming processor under 20k

I think we should enjoy 4G phones having the flagship level features at an affordable prices in the market compared to 5G phone with compromised specs which is pretty expensive to afford as well. Moral: Enjoy the best of 4G phones while it lasts!

Poco M4 pro 4g is more value for money compared to moto G72. I bought poco M4 pro(6gb, 128gb) for 12k includes complete protection and extended warranty for my mother. Moreover an IR blaster comes in handy for a housewife in case any appliance remote is not working. At 18k a 4g phone is not at all recommended.

Hey Beebom I brought a pixel 7 for 50k and I had a good hope from this year but i was not satisfied by it's HDR test it's lagging in colour's are washed out i don't know if it's because of latest Android bugs. I want to share light on this issue as I really worked for this phone but if it's a hardware issue then we TeamPixel are doomed in India.
