I'm an grizzled old man who has kept any old feelings and emotions locked up in a dusty box. And now I find myself crying, thinking about so many in my life who were gone "in a day or two." That's the beauty of music. It effortlessly opens up what we try so damn hard to lock away.

God bless you. I'd hold you while you cried, and I'd never tell a soul or make you talk about it ever again. Take care, sweetheart. Xo💕🌺🌸😊 I'd like to add something. You men, so hard working, so unable to cry, so deserving of so much better than you receive; thank you. Thank you for just being a man. Thank you for helping to keep our world turning. We'd all be so hopelessly lost without you. You men, so deserving of so much more, quietly suffering to keep us all going, thank you. I appreciate all of you. I can't and don't want to imagine what my life would be if it weren't for men doing the things that women aren't willing or able to do. I have a feeling you're underappreciated, but I appreciate you. I really do. Thank you😊❤❤❤

I was in 5th grade when this song was a hit and there was a boy named Carl who rode my bus and I thought he looked exactly like the lead singer of a-ha. (Which is ridiculous since Carl was all of 10 years old.) Last day of school they allowed us to sit whereever we wanted on the bus (it was assigned seating the rest of the year) and Carl sat with me. I guess he moved away after that and I never saw him again. I believe he was my first little IRL crush.

Hello @MCFCRuss Brown.. very nice words indeed. But to be honest, at least to me it was somehow different than you describe it. I am one of those women watching Morten sing ... ..but what I felt went significantly beyond the nostalgia for a younger self or a teenage crush . What happened there those nights was immense! The atmosphere, the communion between the band & musicians/guest artists, the interaction with the audience, the arrangements, the incredible landscape of Giske and the midnight sun. Sitting there, so far from home, listening to the band you love, I assure you ... it was much more than going back in time. It was about the present: feeling alive and incredibly lucky. And grateful that 2010 was not "the end of the road", as Magne said back then. Had it been so, this version would not have existed.

One morning when I was a little girl, I watched my dad take my mom and twirled her on the kitchen floor while this song was playing on the radio. I came between them and hugged as hard as I could, not wanting to be left out. So we danced, all three of us, in the sunbeam of the morning. It was so perfect. Now, both of them are gone, but one day, I was with my six year old son and heard this song being played by some street performers while we were out shopping. I picked him up and and we started dancing to the music. He was confused at first but then started laughing, but some day, I know I will leave him too, and I hope he will have someone to dance with to this song and remember me as how I remembered my parents

This song came out when i was little its similar to my coming of age in the mid 90s . Whenever i hear some song from the 90s im instantly transported back in time , guess thats why music is the greatest thing in the world you remember a feeling a moment where u were. For me this song in the early 90s was a song that was fun and we were all pre teens excited for the future being silly little kids listening and singing along but it gives me nostalgia of being that little 6 year old not being able to wait til im a cool teenager now id give anything to go back. I only had one moment the summer after high school , falling in love for the first time, i stopped and thought it will never be better than this. It happened again when i fell in love with my husband and our first child ( but that was about him more than my coming of age) . Now that child is 9 and has his whole life ahead of him but somehow i wish he could know how amazing the 80s and 90s were. I really feel nothing can be as fun & innocent as those times . They were glory years for me . I hope my 2 kids feel this way about life at 16 and i always tell them never try to grow up too fast which we always do. When ur young ur in a rush to grow up get on ur own meet someone get out of ur town have adventures and when ur older all you want to be is a kid again , care free summers going to the beach no bills no worries the comfort that mom and dad are taking care of everything . This song just made me think of all these things im a little sad but life still has so much to offer. I just watched my baby cousin get married tonight & i watched her parents my aunt & uncle watching her dance with her husband. I remember being their flower girl at their wedding all the things ahead of them r behind them while their daughter has her turn. What a wild circle it is. I watched them sitting older now in their 60s smiling tearing watching her and friends dancing & like yesterday they were that young couple with their parents watching . Him.& my dad out on the dance floor. I couldnt see my parents married so i had an experience watching the torch be passed. It was the only uncle i ever remember getting married as everyone else was married b4 i was born. And some day in a flash ill be at my cousins childrens wedding & well be the older folks sitting & watching. Im gonna go cry now
