Any time we can have a comedy about a book author I'm all in.

This really looks fun. Finally a movie for adults that isn't depressing. And it's nice to see Michael Shannon lightening up.

Is it just me, or does it seem like movies are finally taking a turn for the better over the last year or so? The last decade or more has been so devoid of classy, quality romcoms and comedies, but now with the likes of this, the new Lily Tomlin/Jane Fonda movies, and others, it seems like we are finally getting back to the lighter side of life again! Thank God!!

Loved this movie!!!!! Had me guessing all the way through. Had suspicions but laughed and got choked up all the way through.

Congratulations to the novelist Chris Belden, who wrote the original book on which this AWESOME movie is based. So cool!!!!

to be COMPLETELY honest romantically i did do and/or will really LOVE kate hudson because she's LITERALLY always had and still has an EQUALLY attractive face to go along with her first name being kate and i did do and/or PROBABLY will really LOVE her as a musician

I agree with all of you… Best movie I’ve seen in ages! Well written, and superbly acted. I have become a real Michael Shannon fan after seeing him in the showtime series about George Jones and Tammy Wynette, called George and Tammy. He is really something special everything I’ve ever seen him, and his great. Same thing for Kate Hudson and Don Johnson. I’ve been under the weather this week and this help me forget my troubles for a little while. In fact, I’m fixing to watch it again! I’m glad I bought it from Amazon instead of renting it. It’s only a three dollar difference and oh my goodness it’s so worth it, it’s hard to find movies like this anymore and I’m just so glad I did. God bless the author who wrote the book and the actors who brought it to life. Y’all have a wonderful day.

Nice to see Kate Hudson as a grownup, she's actually got some acting chops. I'll watch this, but it sucks no theatrical release. Anyone out there ever see Foul Play, with her mom and Chevy Chase??? One of the funniest movies ever, one of the most insane car chases ever too!! (And the old ladies playing dirty scrabble while Goldie is trying to escape from the albino 🤯😂😂😂!!!??!)

This movie was much better than I expected. The story kept me guessing. However, one thing drove me absolutely nuts; the background music was way too loud throughout.
