There's a new perspective projection feature on Switch to give games more 3D depth. Also this game and the supersampling makes Switch look like a next-gen platform.

Based on what the commander said the monsters are being influenced by magnamalo driving them mad and gathering them together to attack the village. And the event is similar to the the “night of 100 demons” in Japanese lore ( if I remember it correctly).

alright so the twins at (2:41) are 1,000% an allusion to the final boss who you can see vaguely depicted in the logo (2:56) as two spiraling “twin” dragons (however their horns face opposite directions) i’m calling it now (if this was already an established theory/speculation, sorry! i just noticed this myself tonight)

I love that the new monsters use either the environment or endemic life to cause effects in battle just like the hunter.

I can give a long review and my own opinions about the trailer but also the new game in the MH series; though, no one actually reads long textbooks online or enjoys reading very long comments Hahahaha . The Monster Hunter series has always had different cultures intergraded into the game; which is pretty unique about MH and what makes things slightly different in each game besides new monsters, mechanics, weapons, armour/gears, etc... For example: Monster Hunter Tri was like Natives on an Island, The environment design of the hunter's village was a fishing village; similar to Hawaiians but also any other cultures that lives on Islands and fishes . There was a MH game on the 3DS that had like a European culture where Shepard heards sheeps in the moutains. The environment design for the hunter's village was on a grassy mountain or valley and there were sheep in one area of the hunter's village in that MH 3DS game. These are only a few examples that I am talking about from what I've seen from MH series . In this game, Pretty sure everyone knows already just from watching the trailer and being exposed to various entertainments from that country, Japan. This game so far has Japanese culture from architectures, clothing style , foods/desserts , music , even the name of the hunter's village is Japaness, and etc... To be honest, the trailer makes this game look pretty good and also pretty hype too for various reasons. The blue spiritual or magical sling or hook shot mechanic; is actually similar to another game called, "Toukiden 2" . That game has that hook shot mechanic and the game play style is also similar to MH ; except, you are destroying/hunting Onis or demons instead of monsters. I enjoy both game series and plan to get MH Rise in the future but before I do get it ; I need to get the DLC "Ice Borne" for Monster Hunter World since I've already completed the original story for HMW twice a long time ago.

This is like an extension of portable 3rd. Kind of nostalgic.

For those saying this looks too good for Switch, quick reminder that Capcom are avid supporters for the Switch and have produced some of the most impressive looking/performing games on the system before.

Alright, that's the final straw: I'm buying Switch now. I mean, I know there are other wonderful games on the platform, but I was hesitant (also depressed, so didn't really feel like playing anything for a couple of years) up to this point. Now I am 100% certain.
