Imagine that you are in an abandoned hut in a winter forest. There's a snowstorm blowing outside, but inside it's warm and cozy. The sounds of a burning fireplace and the sounds of crackling wood relax and soothe your mind and body. The sounds of the howling wind and the sounds of a blizzard outside the window will make your rest more comfortable, after which you will be able to sleep sweetly.
Story line:
" This story happened to me back in 1967. I, as a young college student, decided to go to a photo exhibition that was taking place in the city of Wellsbrook. It was 200 miles from the city where I lived. I bought a train ticket in advance, and the very next morning I set off on an exciting journey, which ultimately gave me new experiences and positive emotions. I was riding in an almost empty carriage and looking out the window. Outside the window there was a beautiful view of the winter forest, pine trees covered with snow, and mountains could be seen in the distance. Despite the slight frost, the bright sun was shining outside the window, its rays gently reflected on the snow-white snow. There was about half an hour's drive to Wellsbrook, when suddenly I felt that the train began to brake sharply. I pressed myself into the seat and lowered myself a little. The braking lasted approximately 20 seconds, after which the train stopped abruptly. I looked out the window, but didn't see anything unusual. The few people who were sitting in the carriage with me were also slightly surprised. A couple of minutes later, a conductor entered the carriage and told us that the train was forced to stop because an avalanche had descended onto the rails in front, and there was no way to go further now. The conductor also added that it is advisable for all passengers to remain in the carriage until the rails are cleared and the train starts moving again. To the question: “How long will it take?” he replied that the train manager had contacted the emergency services, and they should send a team and equipment to clear the tracks. All this can take from 24 to 48 hours. When we heard this, we were shocked. I had to be in Wellsbrook tomorrow morning and couldn't wait long. I took out a map and compass from my backpack, and calculated exactly where our train stopped. Also on the map I saw that the direct distance to Wellsbrook was about 6-8 miles. This distance seemed small to me, but the path ran through a forest and a mountain range.
I knew these places because I had traveled here many times with my grandfather since childhood. I decided to continue on foot. Throwing my backpack over my shoulders, I jumped from the train car onto the fluffy white snow, and holding a compass in my hand, I confidently walked towards the mountains. " To be continued...
