I was abused as a child and never had much of a childhood having to always be careful of what I said to who. Then my (now dead) husband(I didn't do anything, it's one of those 10 foot tall and bullet proof, NOT, moments). No one there for me and to hear some of your songs that let kids know there are people they can trust if need be somewhere there just wasn't for me, but I didn't cave in kept plugging on now I have two sons five granddaughters two grandsons and a wait and see on the way I wouldn't miss it for anything now but back then I would have if I could have gotten anything this life wouldn't have existed for any of us. I only regret what my son's went through (because of abusive husband/dad). 100% truth right there. My kids are finally all grown and I think I taught them well. My grandkids are the ones I am worried for the most. If this shit keeps up with no action against it, they won't stand a chance because they will not know what it is like to be free.
