Yep! When I built my silent tower in 2018 Thermalright was the only reasonable option. Paired it with a sturdy Fractal Design Define (and their fans) case. All the fans are 140mm and spin at 700RPM with an office workload. I have to hold my breath to hear it within 3ft.

I was curious about these Frozn coolers, very glad you reviewed them! Man, that pressure line straight down the middle of the intel IHS is laser-focused! No wonder it does relatively so strong on intel while being in the middle of the pack on AMD, and no-wonder offsetting that thin column down does nothing, since the contact pattern would be pretty much the same even after shifting it down. Glad to see Thermalright has a second "budget but few compromises" competitor to keep it honest, at least for intel builds at the moment. P.S. looks like Gamers Nexus is *finally* going to start testing on both AM5 and LGA1700, not just AM4. Can't believe how long your channel has been doing it and how basically no-one else around is offering this content for months. So I'm looking forward to finally being able to follow the gold standard advice to look for reviews from multiple sources. But you guys deserve big credit for being the first major outlet to do it, IMO!!! Great job! (And their charts will never be as cool as your all-dB graphs, IMO, unless they feel "inspired" to copy it, heh. But I'll be curious how their insanely detail-oriented and voltage-locked reviews line up with these that appear to be mostly wattage-limited (?)) P.P.S. Can't believe I got Phantom Spirit SE for just over $30 back in July thinking it looks similar enough to Peerless Assassin from GN review +1 heatpipe, and it ended up being the best air cooler deal on the market. Good job Thermalright!

I'd literally just got the TR PhantomSpirit SE delivered for my Ryzen 7800X3D build and watching the start of this video I was worried that I chose the wrong option. But watching the 2nd half I was relieved to have made the right choice. We need more reviews/coverage of these great value coolers to make folks more aware of the options available on affordable budgets.

Got my Phantom Spirit yesterday for $22. It just blew my away. My 5600 temp is stuck at 60c running stress test for 30 mins. Can’t be happier!

aw man, i was thinking about upgrading to either a 14600k or 13700k and was worried my lil old SE-224-XTS wouldn't quite be enough for it, but i didn't like the aesthetics or prices of other coolers; i seriously respect the sheer amount of effort that went into making this video, particularly retesting every single cooler in your catalogue with the 4080, it is appreciated

I have a DeepCool six pipe from my 4th gen on my 9900K. Cinebench R23 makes it hit just 70C. The twin tower has three 120's on it in a LianLi LAN COOL II white mesh RGB. On the larger unit, PUT A 120 ON THE MEMORY SIDE.

Thermal Grizzly sells a standalone cooler offset kit, but you kind of just have to guess. That would explain Noctua's better performance on Ryzen though, since they include an offset kit, just like Arctic Liquid Freezer.

In my opinion. Buy the best aircooler you can buy and the best fans and it will serve you forever. I still have the original D15 with 140mm fans since the release and have no intention to change it until it supports new sockets. That makes it about 9 years already. Here is to 11 more 🍷🍾

Thermalright Phantom Spirit SE is still tough to beat in the market. Under $40 and it's cooling ability for that price is too good to consider other high price coolers unless you're going for aesthetics. But straight performance Thermalright Phantom Spirit SE is unbeatable!

2:55 or idk, move the fan on the other side of the cooler? a lot of tower fans have the fans on the other side for a reason. it wont as neat looking but but that tends to be the tradeoff u need to make with these coolers

I'd really love to see where the Noctua U14s falls compared to the U12A and D15.... I trust you guys more than anyone else for these air cooler testings. Everyone else says the U12A is just as good as the D15. Obviously not...

For those wondering about the front fan placement... I moved the front fan on my DC AK620 to the rear of the unit, to avoid the ram confliction, and have seen no issues when when cooling a R5 5600x @ 4.85 ghz.

Interesting that the FROZN coolers work much better on intel than amd. I really appreciate the in depth air cooler reviews you guys do. I didnt even realize before that you should choose different coolers depending if you are going for amd or intel CPU. Also the charts are absolutely awesome. Keep up the amazing work!

Have you had a chance to look at the Jiushark JF13K Diamond? Funky name but the radiator has a downdraft design that covers the RAM and VRMs as well, replace the fans with a reputable brand and I'd love to see hoe it compares!

Well done. :) In your first cooler comparison vid, I would have appreciated more clarity between Ryzen vs Intel performance since I almost used that for a Ryzen decision. But it seems like you're doing that now. Thanks. Thermal Griz is now selling a Ryzen cooler offset kit. Seems like many of these would do better on Ryzen with the offset (like Frost Spirit), but the offset kit is half the cost of a TR cooler (~$20usd). ha I guess the Phantom Spirit does better than the Frost Spirit on Ryzen since the additional heat pipes on it catch the Ryzen offset heatspot better? Idk. Thanks again!

So I am running a Ryzen 9 5900x and I am looking at replacing my old AIO with a air cooler and looking at TRPS120, PA120 (or the SE versions not sure which one to get). So do you guys have a recommendation on which one to get? ID cooling? PS120? PA120? or one of the 120SE version? I'm honestly lost. I'm leaning towards a PS120 but any suggestions will be great!

You're right about thermalright availability in india.. At least not at a price that makes it a better deal than deepcool. The cheapest dual tower air cooler available here is the cooler master hyper 620S, I'd say you guys should check it out and see how it performs as a budget option. Also, speaking of thermalright, if peerless assassin and phantom spirit are available at the exact same price as deepcool ak620.. Would it still make sense to go with thermalright? (For intel)

How is ID Cooling availability? As fort the PA / PS series versus the AK620, personally I prefer the LOOK of the AK620 but if looks don't matter then the PS120 is the way to go.

For air cooling.. Thermalright Phantom Spirit (non SE) for sub $40. Can go with the EVO version for all black and comes with premium RGB fans, but is also slightly more expensive. Considering how hot the 7900X3D can get, it might be worth looking into a 360/280MM AIO.

It's a pity that there aren't AM4 temperature tests with them, The A620 is one of the options that I have on my list to cool a Ryzen 9 5950X and I'm wondering if they will suffer the same problems that the 7000 series CPUs have. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of videos or reviews on the internet with 5000 series as far as I have seen.

Found it in Canada now, but will probably stick with the Phantom Spirit that I got yesterday for the time being (thanks for the recommendation, btw., and explaining the differences between AMD and Intel, offset mounting etc., it's much appreciated).

The Thermalright Frost Spirit is a monster of a cooler, but impossible to get. Thank God I bought 3 based on your original air cooler roundup. I also have the Noctua NH-D15 ChromeMax Black and the TR FS140 rivals its performance. Actually, I see you can still get the FS140, but the price has doubled. Now it’s just another air cooler amongst every other air cooler. Therein lies one of the problems with these very good…..but excessively large air coolers. They dominate your build and I can get a 240mm RGB AIO for s similar cost that doesn’t dominate the case.

Aio is more expensive though. A lot more considering you have to change it about every 3 years while aircooler you can keep for a long fking time and just replace a fan if it goes bad. Plus aircoolers dont make annoying pump sounds

There are $40-$45 right now. Not far from Peerless Assassin or other Thermalright dual towers which are also in that range. As 4 Aio, it takes thought into mounting in certain cases. Some take a lot of work or less than ideal positioning.
