i absolutely LOVE this seemingly running gags of this campaign: the scariest/coolest acting character (Leeland) continuously getting dunked on by the universe XD jerimi manifesting abilities out of nowhere that both make no sense but are entirely hilarious and terrifying at the same time spiders "darkening the land" as they follow mom from one field trip to another olag inexplicably being denied death despite trying VERY hard for it

Is it weird that I really appreciate the filmed D&D shows where they eat while they play? It makes it feel much more like a real D&D game.

Brennan’s “you all have ways to address this… on your turn.” Spoke to me deeply. It’s always tough when the party is so desperate to avoid a negative consequence they try to throw all the rules out.

After watching pretty much everything of CritRole, it is oddly satisfying seeing Matt's character being beaten up in so many ways across these episodes. Edit: Also, DM: "Oh I forgot there was a cleric in the party..." Matt: *pained expression* "Yeah... yeah...."

I love Erika’s outfits all throughout the episodes, they just make her look more in character and in with the dark aesthetic.

I seriously have to say, between Brennan and Matt, I've never had a DM as lenient or Forgiving in my time playing DnD. It allows for much more interesting gameplay and much more radical styles from the PC's

I love that the villians, who are pretty inconsistent on general villainy---they killed Avarnash, but Leiland is concerned with child labor, and they are one hundred percent allied with sauron, but Sohkbarr just really cares about monsters---these guys. These guys are trying to get the eagles to unionize. And they're fucking succeeding.

This entire campaign is a rollercoaster. I don't want to cheer for the good guys because they are obviously selfish, stupid, batshit insane, and non-relatable. But I do not want to cheer for the bad guys because they are obviously Selfish, stupid, batshit insane, but somewhat relatable. The Gamemaster is doing a phenomenal job. The players are also all fantastic and really contributing. This has been a thrill!

Okay, this was the most spellbinding battle I've ever seen in a D&D game. So much chaos, so much wild energy, the battle literally changed every turn, so unpredictable and still somehow balanced and fair. What a master display!

From what I can tell, the nat 20 would have still worked with their rules. That said, I love that he fudged the roll. Matt had been rolling terribly and he was clearly a little disappointed and upset about the cold streak he was on. Plus, his decision made it far more dramatic and allowed for a truly awesome moment with Matt’s character!

I love watching mat mercer play and just see him actively switch off GM mode. Honestly leiland is my favourite character in this.

I love how the dice roleplay sometimes too. Any other time Markus has fought, he's been so good and has such flare but against his brother he's struggling a bit cuz he's piloting the ship, worrying about his friends, and is flustered by the sudden arrival of his sworn enemy

It is amazing how the dice demand that Leiland only succeed when no one is watching.

I love the character development in this series. EDIT: there's also the case of how all their characters are evil and have an absolute disregard for each other during battle. Many, many times this episode they throw people off the boat, teammates and trees mostly.
