IRL Anders Lasson during his commando training in Scotland, stalked and killed a deer with his commando knife. His skill at sneaky raiding was legendary, often carrying just a luger pistol and knife. He was the most highly decorated commando. VC, MC with 2 bars.

Reaching the rank of major at age 24 and earning a bucket full of medals before his death in Italy shortly before the end of the war, Anders Lassen was the only foreigner during WWII who received the Victoria Cross.

Arnie was damn good in it though. That movie deserved a sequel.

@insertjjs how odd, Mad Jack was known for doing fun things like carrying a bow and a sword into battle. He killed the one and only Nazi in ww2 to die by arrow that Jack fired from a bell tower and then, vastly outnumbered, helped capture a larger force of freaked out enemy soldiers that the Nazi officer he killed was leading. He was the only survivor of a battle even though he stood out in the open, on top of a hill playing bagpipes like a madman, he survived until getting hit by an artillery shell, jt just knocked him out. He was saved from execution for being a commando because the Nazis thought he was related to Winston Churchill. How the hell no movies were made of this guy I never know. That's why I assumed it was who Henry was playing since he was the only British soldier to never carry a gun but always carried a bow and sword.

@michaelhughes7718 ritchson is playing Anders Lassen a Danish Commando who wanted to use a bow on raids and practiced with one to the point that he was nicknamed the Robin Hood Commando, but the Ministry of Defense forbade him from using one in combat. The book this is based on is quite good.

The character is real. Major Anders Lassen (SOE, SSRF, SAS, SBS) did petition the Ministry of Defense to use a bow during commando raids but while the MoD did provide him with a bow and arrows, they strictly forbade him from using it in combat.

It does appear base on the trailer to be very loosely based on the British SOE Operation: Operation Postmaster, and the main characters were real people, Gus March-Phillipps OBE and Anders Lassen VC. In fact, Ian Flemming was involved in planning this mission and later used traits from 4 the men depicted in this movie (Gus-Phillips, Lassen. Appleyard, Hayes) to create the persona of James Bond.
