I went on quite a journey. The disappointment of thinking she can no longer hit the high notes after first chorus, the thrill that she totally can after the second chorus, then the perfection that was the bridge making me feel awful for ever doubting her

@ChristalBeerman3 роки тому
@Daniel Garrett Approx 30% of antibiotic prescriptions are unnecessary. They are often prescribed for infections that antibiotics don't respond to. Unnecessary prescriptions place the patient at risk of more serious illness and lead to antibiotic resistance. Meaning, if we continue to overuse antibiotics they will no longer be effective because bacteria will be resistant to them. "Antibiotics are lifesaving drugs, and if we continue down the road of inappropriate use we’ll lose the most powerful tool we have to fight life-threatening infections. CDC researchers found that most of these unnecessary antibiotics are prescribed for respiratory conditions caused by viruses - including common colds, viral sore throats, bronchitis, and sinus and ear infections - which do not respond to antibiotics. These 47 million excess prescriptions each year put patients at needless risk for allergic reactions or the sometimes deadly diarrhea, Clostridium difficile." "Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats to global health, food security, and development today. Antibiotic resistance occurs naturally, but misuse of antibiotics in humans and animals is accelerating the process. Bacteria, not humans or animals, become antibiotic-resistant. These bacteria may infect humans and animals, and the infections they cause are harder to treat than those caused by non-resistant bacteria. Antibiotic resistance leads to higher medical costs, prolonged hospital stays, and increased mortality. The world urgently needs to change the way it prescribes and uses antibiotics. Even if new medicines are developed, without behaviour change, antibiotic resistance will remain a major threat. Behaviour changes must also include actions to reduce the spread of infections through vaccination, hand washing, practising safer sex, and good food hygiene." www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2016/p0503-unnecessary-prescriptions.html www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/antibiotic-resistance#:~:text=Antibiotic%20resistance%20occurs%20when%20bacteria,caused%20by%20non%2Dresistant%20bacteria.

@@catgirl6803 I have never seen that movie ~~ but I did have a NDE some years ago (Near Death Experience) As in *I died* Yes, as in stone cold, not breathing, gone, kaput.... dead (as a door nail......lol) *GOD IS LOVE* So very Vast and Eternal that even those words can not even begin describe the *PURE LOVE* that God truly *IS* The. I would like to mention these few things that I experienced: *all* the "communication" there is telepathic (language and words are even too cumbersome), but the very distinctive "voice" of God was Majestic but Fatherly ~~ stern but loving (the reason I know this is because just like a child, I begged, cried, and pleaded to *stay* !!!) There has not been a day that has gone by that I do not think of this experience. It completely changed my life! Honestly, many times I weep even when I recall it. Her Level of talent and expression can not be copied. Impeccable. My soul just healed a bit more by listening to that new live track of a poignant tune.

Had forgotten about this song until it was recommended by UKposts. After the past year I’ve had, it resonates deeply. It brought this 40 year old man to tears.

She is twice or three times better now. Her body is "strong" and powerful,full of energy and "life". She is a mother and a chubby women and i like it. Her voice is unique and muuuuu.

I really noticed that. She's put on weight since having kids. She looks somewhat normal now.

She'dnhave more clarity of she was physically I better shape. You'll no doubt bust a blood vessel over this comment but, alas, it's true. Overweight Axl compared to fit and in better shape Axl is a prime example of the difference it makes. Love Alamos but love her voice too. She's still incredible but something's not 100%, sadly.

Maybe not better, but the song is for sure just as relevant as it ever was and she sings it beautifully decades later.

@T S Fat ladies sing better. Like opera singers -- Facts. Sorry you think a woman's job is to remain 15 years old forever, but the rest of us don't feel that way.

There is only one Alanis Morissette in this lifetime. And I thank God she has been a huge influence in my life. She is a legend, and forever my hero and rockstar!!! I love her to death!

I used to be a little weirded out by the way she moved when she sang live - then I imagined the power of her talent (or Creation, God, whatever you want to call it) just coursing through her body and out her mouth in absolute perfection. Now I am mesmerized and in awe of all that she is, especially the way she moves.

I went backpacking aged 33. The line "the more I let go of it, was the moment I got more than I could handle, the moment I jumped off of it, was the moment I touched down". I met my wife on that trip. It changed everything. This song lived in me before, during and after that life-changing trip. Thank you Alanis.
