Apparently, the world expects the drug companies to suddenly come up with 14 billion doses. I'm not a biochemist, but I'm going to assume that manufacturing such a gigantic quantity of a brand new drug is not that easy. People should be expecting shortages. Nothing really surprising is going on here. The drug companies are probably not dragging their feet. Saving the world is just a very tall order.

I'd love to see NBC provide a source for this. The link to the CDC up drop doesn't show any shortages, it shows just half of the doses having been used and it's updated regularly.

Trump did not order enough, the problem is he only ordered enough vaccines to fill the freezers in most states but as people get vaccinated they need to restock, Trump never had any vaccination plan or never had a plan to restock as soon the freezers became empty.
