She has improved and this time i see more personality and she understands the program, so is able to convey more emotions and feelings. For me this was the best performance. I do not have doubts that she will continue improving, when it comes to her triple Axel, she can restore it with proper technique, the one she has is not working for her.

Wow. So much better than we’ve seen her this season even without the 3A. Hope she stays physically and mentally healthy. It would be so shocking to think she may not get to go to the Olympics.

She is amazing! I really don't get how her component scores can be less then Sherbakova's???? alena's jumps are higher, nicer, stronger. Her artistic performance and musicality is on totally different higher level then Anna's! Feels like Anna gets these high points simply because she is world champion.

It's way too low, some of her jumps and spins are worth at least +2. I noticed that the judges give out very conservative GOEs whenever the jumps are simpler, yet when she tries a triple axel, the GOE immediately gets a boost even when the landing isn't as smooth

I wasn’t sure about this New York program for her at first. But her interpretation of it is definitely improving. Her jumps looked big and strong. And amazingly, despite all predictions, if she had landed just one clean 3A of the quality she has shown in the past, she would surely have won this event, even with the slight bias from the judges to the world champion in the GOE and PCS. But I do wish these ISU judges would approach each event as a clean slate and reward skaters according to their actual performance on the day of the competition rather than marking on reputation and past performances.

She should obviously be in first place, not even close. There are like 2,5 points only considering the jumps GOE and the spins... And there's no way she should get less than Anna in PCS with her skating skills and this performance/interpretation .

The commentator's right, she's got an engaging personality. It's mesmerising to watch on ice. I love Anna and her new program, but I think the only reason Alëna can't get first is because she hasn't got a 3A here. I think this few years has definitely been so hard to pick favourites among the Russians since they're so good.

2023,и даже спустя два года,не в обиду самым топовым российским фигуристкам, Алёна,лично для меня ,остается под номером один,потому что это истинно фигурное катание,где воединно сошлись шикарное скольжение,пластика,завораживающая техника элементов,скорость,и безусловно артистизм.Для меня Алена лучшая.Буду очень болеть за их пару с Гошей,думаю,это будет превосходно💯. Я уже написал об этом. Прыжки хорошие, высокие, но крутка затянутая. Квады нужно сразу тело ,как бы сказать варучивать во вращения.А то может не успеть скрутить

This girl is state of the art. She moves and breathes as a bailerina. She is ethereal. She doesnt squat to jump.... she does jumps and not spins in the air. Her posture is imaculate. If she doesnt get to olympics, something has to change in the score system. I really dont want to see anorexic and hunchback girls doing quads. The quality must prevaile above quantity.

Can you stop giving diagnosis to other skaters? If there are slim, doesn’t mean they are anorexic. I guess this was directed towards Anna, well it’s just her body type. Stop body shaming her. I doubt any skater with anorexia would be able to do a clean free programme with a quad. Enough of these “anorexic”

@@i.l.4240 Im I the only one to see her squating to jump? Her posture is just not right. The 'Etery technique' is all the same between the skaters that have started with her... I think its a miracle they dont injure more often as they abandon the diafragma expasion in rotation in order to be able to rotate more. Thats why Aliona is diferent and airy. Her center of mass is spot on and rellies entirely in angular momentum. I dont take credit to the other girls but their techniques are just frighten. Valieva for instance always lands on interior edge... anything goes with Etery... She is in business to make her brand, not to do works of art

@@isplo9992 Im not body shaming anyone, by the contrary. In fact my awareness of their diet might do more for them than your eyes shut. And if you doubt it google Gracie Gold... All the Etery girls are the same, specially the ones who started with her are the same: underweight and their diafragma never expanded. They all seem to have 8 year old body. But thats the minor problem if you look to the cedencies that are made in physic and center of mass in order to rotate a extra turn. I only admire they dont injure more often...
